A Busy and Long Tuesday

Woke up at 4am to hit the gym bright and early for my cardio day since there would be no other time to get it in.

**20 minutes on the elliptical


**15 minutes on the climbing stairs


**15 minutes on the rowing machine

Great workout!  Always feels good to get it done!  :)


I came home and jotted down some meal ideas for the day……..this really helped me mentally know what was on the list that I could choose from and check off……and that this would help me stay on track while I went about my busy day.


post workout green protein smoothie – 2 pts+


bowl of oatmeal – 4 pts+


mid morning snack on the way to a meeting- 5pts+


lunch – tortilla pizza with 2 tsp olive oil for my healthy oils of the day- 8 pts+

*another nap day! :)


mid afternoon snack on the way to take our church youth to the Houston LDS Temple for the evening – 0 pts+

and grapes – 0 pts+


Soo pretty at night!


Sonic stop on the way home for dinner, to help stay awake for the drive, and cure a headache 😉  – jr burger, a vanilla cone and a Coke Zero with lime – 15 pts+

Total Daily – 34pts

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.

    Tried some of the Zone bars this week…YUMMY! and more filling than I thought they would be. I wish I had the dedication to get up that early and exercise.

      That’s awesome you tried the Zone bars and liked them Erin!!! Best find I ever found cause a year of eating them and I still love ’em!!! 😉 and yes it is hard to get up in the mornings- but those are my busiest days and I kick myself later in the day when I don’t get up and workout early so I can get it in!! Hilarious part is that on some mornings when I wake up that early I don’t feel like I truly wake up until I’m done and get back home!! hahaha- I am sooo not a natural morning person! 😉
