A Day In Galveston

I just got home from another family day of holiday fun!  Three years ago, we started a tradition of spending the day after Thanksgiving in Galveston. The weather was perfect this year!! Here is my day in review…

Day 25 of the Burpee Challenge!  On day 25, 50, 75, and 100 you report your time.

I woke up bright and early and did them in….

Then I put together my protein pancake batter to bring with me to my mom’s house. I snacked on some peanut butter on the way – 1 pt

Candace and I went out for an hour long run …

And then my mom joined us for a 2 mile walk. :)

I had a little trouble with my pancake… so it was more like protein pancake cobbler! – 5pts

I came home to get ready for the beach…. made a Turkey Swiss Melt and Kabocha Squash – 4 pts

We usually have s’mores but this time I made mine with Chips Ahoy cookies!  – 6 pts

It was awesome!!  :)

Reece added some extra chocolate to his!  Chips Ahoy Deluxe Edition!!!

And my mom made a “zero point” roasted marshmallow!  Hahaha!!!

Here’s most of the crew…..

The beach weather wreaks havoc on my hair!!!  This picture doesn’t even do it justice… it was everywhere!!!

Finished up the day at Tortuga’s!  Chips and Salsa – 4 pts

Grilled Chicken Fajita Meat/Lettuce/Tomato/Salsa – 6 pts

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!
