A Merry White Christmas in CO!

Our kids got their wish this Christmas and got to have a white Christmas and play in the snow!!!  We are so grateful that we could make this trip happen to make a Christmas memory with our kids!!!  They are already talking about where they want to go next year for Christmas!  It has also been a lot of fun having Torry, Lexy, and the boys here with us too. This is the first Christmas in many many years that we have done Christmas Day with someone else. It was really fun to share in the excitement together and watch the kids opened their stockings from ‘Santa’.  Then the best part of the day was to just get to hang out all day, watch movies, eat good food, take a fat nap, etc…… THAT’S what a Christmas vacation is all about! 😉

ready and waiting!

my kids all got several things off their list from Santa!!!

Later Aunt Lexy braved the cold weather and took the girls to the hot tub – the girls LOVED it!!

hahaha!! crazy girls!!!!

the kids loved playing outside to discover cool stuff like this that we don’t get back in Texas!! 😉

*got to take a much needed good long hard hour nap!*

After waking up I need to get outta the house…..I could feel myself going a little stir crazy!  So the girls and I walked the mile down the road to the cute little town.

on the way we say some virgin snow and so Jayde couldn’t resist making a snow angel! 😉

I {LOVE} this small town with its small shops, lighted trees lined the streets, and Christmas music playing!

they had these cool nativity’s – what a perfect scene to remember this day!

this sat at the top of a hill/mountain at the end of the main street. It was so nice to see and feel the Christmas spirit there!

it literally felt like we were in a postcard our whole stay. Just beautiful and serene.

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
