Today’s WW meeting topic was – Believe.

Some reasons why we don’t Believe :

Lack confidence

We look ahead too much
Take on too much change at one time

*We have to always remember – we make choices in life everyday that have a ripple effect to everything and everybody around us.

Our leader Karen walked into the WW doors on Jan 7, 1999 almost 13 years years ago. She said some things have gotten easier – but not all things are easy.

You have to Believe in yourself that you can do this!!
Jennifer Hudson’s song ‘Believe’  (listen to the words)

Coming off the holidays everyone feels guilty! We need to let the baggage of last week and last month GO!! What happened last week and last month – It’s GONE!!!  Move on. 😉

*Our very own Aunt Windy got another 5 lb star and she is down 31lbs!! Way to GO Aunt WII!!!!!!!

WW members say we can be successful at weight loss by:
Tracking!! we {heart} dietSNAPS as an awesome way to track! 😉
Exercise
Can’t eat it if u don’t buy it
Sleep!
Don’t guess at points
Weigh/measure your food
Use smaller dishes

Last week they talked about the weight loss tracker chart that is the back of our weigh in book- its a paper version of another one of our favorite apps – Target Weight – its so cool to visually see your weight loss as you go.

Take advantage of WW’s stay on track tools!

What would u tell someone that is new to WW to do-
Use the stainless steel measuring ladles
Try WW cookbooks
Attend meetings!!
Track every bite
Don’t give up- change one thing every week
Use Etools
Favorites
Drink your Water
Use a Buddy system

One thing that Karen says everyone should get if you get nothing else out of the meetings – To ask yourself – If the diet (or whatever it is you’re doing), can you do it for the rest of your life? Something to really think about.

Challenge this week- Write down the ONE thing you need to do to be successful this year – Is it gonna be:
Track!
Never loose sight of where I want this journey to go
Workout
Drink more water!
Try new veggies/recipes
Plan!
Don’t bring junk foods in the house

We need to make sure we have realistic expectations and to remember that you can’t control everyone around you- but you can control what you put in your mouth – and if you are gonna wake up and exercise, walk,  go to bed earlier, etc.

When we do these things it makes us feel – in control, more clear,  and you feel like you can handle the stress around you better.

Motivational quote:

“Your belief determines your actions,

your actions determine your results –

but first you have to BELIEVE.’

-Mark Victor Hansen

What is the ONE thing you need to do to be successful this year??

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
