Saturday Daily Bites

5 mile run with the ladies. I am grateful for this running group especially on days like today–I woke up with a headache and my body did not want to get up. Knowing how awesome I feel after these Saturday runs is what helped me drag my butt outta bed. Even though it took me till after mile 3 to wake up–I felt great afterwards. 😉

she came in laughing at the how she thinks she looks like me when I wear my hair curly- we’ll have to do a comparison picture soon. 😉

For dinner, instead of grabbing a $5 Hot & Ready pizza on the way home like I really wanted too……..

I came home and made homemade pizzas for less points and was wayyyy healthier.

flat out bread, tomato paste, cheese, turkey pepperoni, onions, peppers, seasoned with italian seasonings & ground red pepper. Topped it with 2 tsp EVOO after it came out of the oven. YUM!

The weekends are the hardest for me when my husband is out of town for a lengthy period of time. It is the lonliness that kills me the most.  It usually makes me want to bake or cook something as a comfort or I guess to occupy my time and just make the time pass as quick as possible. Today was one of those days and I was pretty down. I fought the urge to make cookies because I knew I would have no self control and my girls actually begged me to make donuts.…. only this time they requested I add powedered sugar. I made their pizzas out of 1/2 of the can biscuits and then I used the other 5 to make the donuts. They were too die for!!!!  This was the best batch so far. They tasted like a cross between a beignet and an elephant ear!!!!!  Two of my fav’s!

I ate one during our little family movie night while watching ‘Rio’ that we rented at Redbox. 7pts+

We saw it in the theater a while back and it is a super cute movie!! So cute to hear the kids giggling at the cute parts.

I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
