I was SMOKED.

[still trying to figure out the activity points on this one…..it seems like it is more than just 4 points for this hour long kill session}

the view from my  husbands workout this morning… trail run in the Boise foothills.

lucky dawg. I wish I was there.

*ran by the grocery store to get a few things–found some recipes I’ll be trying out this week.

luckily I had plenty of time to get to that apt because……..

we got down the road and I realized I needed to get gas badly!!! I totally spaced the low fuel light being on and just happened to look down to see this ↑!!   I like to tease my husband about this all the time cause its one of his pet peeves that I let my gas guage get this low…..but THIS is probably an all new record for me!!!  whew.

So I looked for the very next gas station to pull into and it just happened to be……

dang.

the smell of that BBQ was awesome!!!

my daughter asked if it was good and I said ‘heck yeah!’ So naturally I had a weak moment and went in while my gas guzzler took 20 mins to fill up  and got 3 different meats for supper.  I got 1/2 pound each of baby back ribs (her fav’s to try), extra lean brisket, and chipped beef.

waited till after her apt before I couldn’t handle the smell in the car anymore! we had to whip out the beef and start chowin before we even made it home!

Supper at 4pm. 😉

made the kids all bbq sandwiches for their supper and had some of the chipped beef. REALLY good!!!

I’m a country girl and bbq is like crytonite to me…..

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6).
