This is a very simple smoothie recipe. I have one almost everyday. It’s great for a healthy snack!
I use 1 cup of diet V8 Splash… my 2 favorite flavors are Berry Blend and Tropical Blend. I add 2 scoops of Standard Process Whey Pro Complete. Then I’ll add 1 cup of mixed frozen fruit.
I get this from my husband’s chiropractic office. From the Standard Process website… “Whey Pro Complete supports weight management, muscle tissue, immune function, and gastrointestinal health.” For more information on the product… check HERE. If anyone local would like to try it, let me know…
Blend it all together in the Magic Bullet! 30 seconds to a minute…
Who needs Jamba Juice?? 😉 This smoothie is 2 points plus!
I had the ingredients to try a new recipe idea that I saw in my new Weight Watchers Book… Fruits & Veggies A to Z.
Quoting from the book… “All bell peppers are packed with vitamins and minerals, and certain colors have even more of the good stuff than others. A yellow bell pepper has five times as much vitamin C as an orange bell pepper. Yellow, orange, and red peppers contain more of the antioxidant beta-carotene than the green variety; and red peppers are one of the few vegetables that contain the powerful antioxidant lycopene.”
All you need is a yellow pepper, black beans, pico, and a sprinkle of cheese!
This was a very quick and simple way to get in some much needed veggies today! And only 5 points plus!
Lexy introduced me to the spaghetti squash alfredo while we were on Christmas vacation and it was so good! When I went to the store the other day I wanted to grab the ingredients to have on hand for lunches.
I experimented with adding protein…….
I cut up chicken breast into chunks and threw it in a hot skillet with a little olive oil. I seasoned the chicken as it was cooking with this McCormick Mediterranean seasoning real good and browned it until done. I dished out 3 oz of chicken for my serving- 3pts+
I found this flavor alfredo sauce and had to try it! it is sooo good! Serving size is 1/4 cup – 2pts+
I threw in about 1/2 cup spaghetti squash and some fresh tomatoes on top and a sprinkle of dried sweet basil! – 0
**A yummy well rounded meal with veggies and protein for only 5pts+!
another version is to add spaghetti sauce to the chicken and serve over the spaghetti squash – YUMMY!!
Carman posted this on our new Fire Lites Fire Pinterest page the other day and I knew I wanted to try it soon! I have made Frozen Banana Soft Serve before, but adding peanut butter and cocoa just sounds awesome!!! Yesterday afternoon, I noticed I had some bananas that were going bad, so I sliced them up and put them in the freezer! After my lunch today… I was ready for a frozen treat!
1 – Grab frozen bananas out of the freezer and put them in the food processor…
2 – Start the food processor and let it run for approximately 45 seconds…. be patient… it will look like this for a while.
3 – At some point… it magically turns into soft serve “banana” ice cream!!!
4 – I added 1 T of peanut butter and 1/2 t of cocoa… and let ‘er rip…
5 – You are left with Banana Peanut Butter Soft Serve!! Yummy!!!! And only 2 Points Plus!
Here’s where the idea came from on Pinterest!!!
I came across this cool new find the other day while getting some groceries at WalMart………
It’s Cool Whips new Seasonal Delight in Sweet Cinnamon flavor!!
It is 1PP+ for 2TBSP and is sooooo good!
So far I have eaten it as a dip with my sliced apples as a snack and had it on top of my protein pancake & bananas instead of syrup.
I’m sure the possibilities are endless!!
I LOVE Fall!!!
