Gym news: I was able to walk over 2 miles on the treadmill, at an incline and a good speed and keep my heart rate at the right place – all while reading my Kindle for 45 minutes!! Now, I know this isn’t fabulous news to anyone but me, and I actually think I could have walked longer. I’m going to stay at my 45 minutes this week and maybe even next just to make sure I’m not “over-doing” it. I don’t want to wreck my knees again.
Our Aqua class instructor added some new things to our workout and I’m really enjoying that activity. Haven’t had the opportunity to use my snorkel yet because I’m having trouble adjusting the headband…doesn’t that sound stupid? For some reason, I cannot get one side of my strap adjusted and I keep forgetting to ask my husband for help. Ugh!!!! I do swim a few laps, but I can’t do too many because I get so pooped after our workout! Are you reading between the lines here? CLARETTA HAS BEEN GOING TO THE GYM AND WORKING OUT FOR OVER 3 WEEKS NOW!!
Pretty soon, I’m going to start using some dumbbell weights to try and lose some of the chicken wings of my upper arms. I have to remember to get some gloves because I CANNOT STAND TO TOUCH THOSE NASTY METAL WEIGHTS – just saying.
