Claretta – Week 23

Did you miss me??

I am .4 of a pound away from having a total weight loss of 35 pounds!

Yippee!!  I hope to break that last little-bit by New Years day and be on

my way to my next 35 pound goal.  I’m meeting up with a bunch of my

old high school friends at a dude ranch in April and I sure want to look

good!  Also, the last time we got together, I was the only one who couldn’t

ride the horses – because I couldn’t get my big, fat, butt up and over the

saddle!  Well, I laughed it off then, but let me assure you – that it isn’t

funny and it’s never happening again!

The last two weeks I’ve been a traveling fool.  Went to the New Orleans

area with my two sisters-in-law and went antiquing then on to the Austin

area to have Christmas with my son and his family.  I had an amazing time

with my family on both trips and had so much fun spending money on

“stuff” and playing with my grandchildren.  Of course, I ate out a lot….but

made mostly good choices and the scale shows it.  Got home just in time

for my husband to get really sick (he’s much better now), so I had to cancel

my workout with my trainer.  Other than walking around shopping – that’s

the extent of my “exercise”.  I failed miserably in that department, so I

guess I’ll be starting over in that regard.

Other than this little head cold, I feel great and ready for Christmas.  Today

is a baking day!  This is going to be hard for me – still.  The aroma of fresh

baked “things” feels like Christmas, and I know my neighbors will enjoy

the goodies.  Lest anyone think I’m perfect, I want to assure you I am not!

I have enjoyed a few cookies and candies here and there, but over the last

23 weeks, I have really learned how to eat in moderation.  I will never be

able to pig-out like I have in the past 60+ years and I have learned a hard

lesson.

So, Merry Christmas to me and Merry Christmas to all my readers.

Looking forward to 2012 as “my year”. – Claretta
