Claretta – Week 3

Happy 42nd anniversary to me and my husband!!  I had a really great first half of my 3rd week, only to have way to much fun over the weekend!  Because of our anniversary and my husband’s over-the-top dedication to his work, we couldn’t escape very far, but did manage to have a little retreat which involved a lot of rest and eating out.  I went to The Cheesecake Factory fully expecting NOT to eat cheesecake, but to indulge myself in the whole platter of avacado eggrolls (3 cut in half on the diagonal).  OMG!  If you’re healthy enough, you really have to try those eggrolls.  They are fried and this is the first time I’ve eaten anything fried in quite some time.  Thank you, honey!  On our subsequent eating adventures, I managed to stay in the reasonably healthy range partaking in salads, grilled chicken, green beans – skipped potatoes twice, and a final wonderful dinner of tilapia.  The fish was cooked, soaked and covered in butter….but was very tasty.  Our celebration was wonderful and now I’m back to all business.  One thing I learned last week is that I can eat much healthier at home, where I can control how things are prepared.  I also learned that I’m still an out-of-control eater and can’t be trusted in a restaurant.  I have secured permission to begin a walking program, so I’ll be visiting the gym everyday and look forward to sore muscles!  Yay!!!!

    LOL! I feel the exact same way about eating out! I can't be trusted yet at all…not to mention the whole "time of the month" thing. Did not weigh in today because of water weight and didn't want to feel sad beacuse it may not show that I've lost ANY thing this past week. I've only lost 2 lbs in 3 weeks so far…bummer.
