Mayan or Bust!!!
Here I am at week 35 of my healthy lifestyle change and I must say that I’m disappointed in myself. 35 weeks ago, I started out with a big bang and thought my life would change dramatically over the next few weeks and I’d be home free. That has not been the case. Yes, I have made a good start but have come to realize that I have a r-e-a-l-l-y long way to go.
I have stayed the same weight for the last several MONTHS! But it’s no one’s fault but my own. I’ve gotten complacent with my eating habits or maybe I should use the word, lazy. I pretty much quit doing my food journal, even tho I’m very aware of the food that I eat. That has caused me to cheat more often – not ridiculous cheats, but bad enough to keep me from loosing weight. I also quit drinking tons of water. This combination has proven to be very detrimental to my weight loss goals.
In less than one month, I will be meeting up with my ’67 high school classmates at our favorite meeting place, The Mayan Ranch in Bandera, Texas. I had high hopes that they would see a much slimmer me, and yes, they will notice a change, just not the huge change that I was hoping for. I made myself a promise that I’d be able to climb up on a horse this year, without the aid of one of the wranglers. I still have a few weeks, I better get busy!!!
