C-ville day 6…waking up full of awesome!

Monday, monday…a friend of mine sent me an email with a link to this blog.  I thought it was perfect and just what I needed!!

The blog is called Pigtail Pals and the post is called Waking Up Full of Awesome…

“There was a time when you were five years old, and you woke up full of awesome.
You knew you were awesome.
You loved yourself.
You thought you were beautiful, even with missing teeth and messy hair and mismatched socks inside your grubby sneakers.
You loved your body, and the things it could do.
You thought you were strong.
You knew you were smart.
Do you still have it?
The awesome.
Did someone take it from you?
Did you let them?
Did you hand it over, because someone told you weren’t beautiful enough, thin enough, smart enough, good enough?
Why the hell would you listen to them?
Did you consider they might be full of shit?
Wouldn’t that be nuts, to tell my little girl below that in another five or ten years she might hate herself because she doesn’t look like a starving and Photoshopped fashion model?
Or even more bizarre, that she should be sexy over smart, beautiful over bold?
Are you freaking kidding me?
Look at her. She is full of awesome.
You were, once. Maybe you still are. Maybe you are in the process of getting it back.
All I know is that if you aren’t waking up feeling like this about yourself, you are really missing out.”

So with my awesomeness, I woke up today and did 30min of yoga.  It felt so good and doing my own routine based off my old hot yoga classes was 10 times better then the gym’s yoga class.

Breakfast: flaxseed cereal w/banana- 6

Cole has been bugging me to go swimming so we came back and changed into our swimsuits.  As soon as we got to the pool, Cole ran and did a cannon ball.  Apparently it was freezing cold because he scurried out faster then he jumped in.  So my afternoon of reading my book by the pool was ruined by a freezing cold pool.  Luckily we brought our lunch out to the pool so we were able to stay out a little longer.

Lunch: 1/2 pb&j sandwich, greek yogurt, carrots, and berries- 8

Cole attempted one more time to go swimming and only made it to the 3rd step.  So we went back to the room and changed to go find a park.  As we were driving into the park we passed by a bus from a correctional facility and 2 tables full of men in jumpsuits…uh yeah we turned around.  Finally found a park and luckily there were kids there.  I was able to sit and chat with 2 of the kids mom.  It was a nice 2 hours of distraction.  After the park we headed to Walmart to get some water.  I was also craving chips and salsa so we grabbed some.

Snack: veggies and dip, pita w/hummus, a few chips w/salsa- 6

More snacks: while waiting for daddy to get home, nuts and cranberries, and a twirler pull n’ peel- 5

We were planning on meeting daddy at the gym after he got off, but he called us and said he didn’t feel like going.  And neither did I.  So he came home and we decided on a Japanese Steakhouse for dinner kind of like a Benihana.  Both Keller and I forgot our phones so I couldn’t take a pic of my food.

Dinner: soup, salad w/ginger dressing, veggies, chicken, shrimp and steamed rice, a couple bites of fried rice, and 1 mochi ball.  15-18?

I felt so much better today finally!
