Back in the day… when I used to follow Body For Life or the 4 Hour Body, I used to have a cheat day once a week. It is sometimes referred to as FATURDAY: the day of the week on which you’re allowed to eat whatever you like, regardless of your usual dietary practices.
Here is a pic of our cheat day supplies from July 2009!!! Look how excited we were to eat ourselves in to a sugar coma! Haha!!!
Since I have been following Weight Watchers, I have dropped that mentality all together. I have followed a more steady diet throughout the week and never felt the need or desire for a “cheat day”…. most of the time, as long as I am sticking within my points allowance, I never feel deprived.
HOWEVER … the last several weekends in my life have felt very off… I have definitely resorted back to my “cheat day” mentality and I don’t like it!!
So here are my Fire Bites for the last 2 days:
**Started with an early morning circuit training work out with a new group at the track. It was great to change things up and do something different! Then I came home and went for a one hour walk with Katie**
Super busy day with final preparations for our silent auction fund raiser for girls camp. Shopping for supplies, printing bid sheets, gathering items, final decorations, set up, etc….. busy busy busy busy busy!!!!
(protein waffle w/strawberries, pizza eggs, protein bar, crunchy grape & turkey roll-up, spinach protein smoothie, bbq @fundraiser, and chocolate oatmeal) 29 Points Plus
**Began with another circuit training track work out, followed by 3.5 miles of running with Erin**
I was extremely tired today…. Torry and the boys talked me into a morning movie so we could see the Avengers… I was so tired that I nodded off during the movie a few times, but caught enough of it to enjoy it. When I came home…. it was time to help Kody with his science fair project… yippee!! Then we met up with Ciro and some family at the Cheesecake Factory!
Fire Bites: Are you ready for
(Banana w/ peanut butter, pizza eggs, donuts, popcorn, cereal, bread, chicken lettuce wraps, and dove dark chocolate) Off the chart points for the day….
I have definitely decided that I don’t like cheat days….. The morning after NEVER feels good. It’s just not worth it, so why do I keep doing it? I need to figure that out…. lazy? tired? stressed? apathetic? entitled? deserving? Who knows….
