Just Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

Our awesome Christmas vacation in CO came to an end this morning as we had to pack up and load up our cars again!! So bittersweet. I left there feeling I could have used a couple more days there by myself to unwind some more. I think I’m gonna end up needing a vacation from our vacation once we finally get back to Texas.

the winds were REALLY bad as we were leaving town…..you can even see it stirred up on top of the mountain before we headed out of town.

We {love} Estes Park and the Rocky Mountains!!!!!

the gorgeous scenery that we didn’t get to see driving up cause of the snow storm when we were driving in last week.

I thought it was cool to see the mountain range from the Interstate.

:(

headed into the flat lands of Kansas- we’re so excited to get to visit some of our husbands other side of the family – The Poultons!

My Fire Bites:

mini donuts on the way out of town

lunch at Subway – 8

had too many of these Subway cookies.

I think I was tired, bored, frustrated, and stressed – after packing and organizing our stuff to leave and another non- successful attempt at family pictures before we left. So I went downhill from this point on.

We stopped and ate at Wendy’s for dinner and to stretch our legs. I had the Jr hamburger with bacon……..snacked on the kids fries, had a couple chicken nuggets, and also a few bites of Buba’s fosting.

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
