About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!

Ok, seriously, I’m still bugged by this whole weight thing. Does is “wear you out” to keep working on this everyday?? The weight thing for ME, not you! Ps. I haven’t started my “daily” program yet.

Vicki- Yes! It’s weird, I seem to go in phases…. lately I have not been in a “good” phase…. So yes, in times like this… it “wears me out!!” But there are other times when I am “in the zone” and it seems like a breeze. We just can’t give up and we have to try to look for the positive things. You have inspired me to write a blog post on this! Gonna think about it and I’ll let you know my thoughts…. :) Don’t give up on yourself. Sometimes, you just gotta roll with it and do the best you can in your circumstances! :)

Wow! I’m so cool that you would write a blog post about this….he he, that’s funny! ER…uh….I mean great!! Seriously, I appreciate your knowledge and experience with this right now. Like I’ve said before I am fan. There are many factors to try and work out, or should I say obstacles in the way. I do feel defeated sometimes. But I guess that’s ok to feel that way whatever point of this journey you are on. I know I’m not out of control big, but enough for ME and my comfort level and that makes all the difference in the world for my confidence level! And I don’t want to be compelled to lose the weight. I want to be good to what I have been given: ie good health! And I just keep remembering what Carmen said about “keep on keepin’ on”! It’s such a battle constantly to get in the zone and stay there! But I’m working on it slowly….not fast. Thanks for the update and thanks for being a wonderful friend!!

Yo Vic!! Just starting was/is the hardest part for me. The first 2 weeks drive me crazy, but then all of a sudden
it becomes routine and then the next thing you know, you’re clothes start to feel loose and people start noticing something. That part feels awesome! I have to keep reminding myself that slow and steady win the race. You can do it, I know you can!
