trick or treat in the neighborhood

HaPpY HaLLoWeeN!!!

*Boot camp class – cRaZy circuit training workout +10

We ran errands before going home and then we were starving……and Gabe begged for Chick-FilA

breakfast/lunch – chicken sandwich (no cheese/extra pickles)  – 10

Once we got home we got busy purging Courtney’s closet that hasn’t been done in a LONGGG time!

snack – 5

a little while later – another snack – 3

a MUCH more functional and organized closet and happy camper!! 😉

we headed out to the store to grab some things for dinner since I didn’t make it to the store for our big shopping today due to the closet taking longer than I thought it would.

I grabbed some sushi for my dinner & a Dr Pepper Ten

Then it was trick or treatin time!

fun times 😉

our last house was our traditional stop at Uncle Tim & Aunt Wii’s 😉

we came home and then sorted all FOUR buckets of candy into two –

the good stuff on the right and the junk candy on the left- this amount of candy is stupid. {don’t tell my kids I said that word}

I told my kids that next year we are gonna set up in our yard with the fire pit and hand out candy instead of going around and collecting it next year and that I would buy them each their favorite own small bag of candy instead of all this junk!

saw this on Facebook and cracked up!!!!

this applies to ME – so no judging! 😉

nothing like chasing down sugary chocolate candy with a Dr Pepper. 😉

My confessional – On Thursday at our meeting I guess I was in a ‘good place’ cause I kept thinking-  I can do this – I don’t want or need that crappy halloween candy.  I can be strong!  Well I woke up Friday a different person cause I have not quit eating candy since then!!!!  Tonight I lost count how many pieces of candy I ate while we walked our neighborhood with the kids- should have kept all the wrappers in my pocket and came back and took a pic of them all. I know I had several fun size butterfingers, reeses, milky way and 3 musketeers, and a mini york peppermint patty. yikes.

Frustrating thing is I don’t really want it or need it. {I love dark chocolate the best}. I eat it cause its there and its fun but once I start I can’t stop. That is the craziness.

Moving on.

So glad this hoopla holiday is over.

Now gonna find somewhere to donate most of this mess.

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
