Happy November!!! Up for a Challenge??? ;)

I honestly cannot believe how fast this year is flying. It is NOVEMBER people!  CraZy!!  The holiday season is no kidding upon us – but here in TX it doesn’t feel that way because we are still having daily temps in the 70’s and 80’s. Whassup with dat?!  Today being Nov 1st has totally thrown me off for some reason. It felt like it was Monday all day and that it should be Oct 1st. weird.

I had an idea pop into my head of an awesome Challenge for this month!!!!

The Gratitude Challenge

Since Thanksgiving is only 23 days away, I thought it would be cool to think about something each day to add to our post that we are thankful and/or grateful for in our lives. As I’ve thought about doing this daily during the month, I thought how much it will help us spiritually and mentally during these holidays and to help us keep everything in our lives in perspective while we continue to work on the physical part of eating good and exercising.

So I issue you this challenge!!! SO be sure to comment each day and tell us what you’re thankful for!!!


I’ll start……..

Day 1-  With today being payday – I am grateful that my husband has a job and that we have an income.


My Fire Bites:

pre workout while taking G to school – 3

**Walked inclines for 1 hour

*got my BIG grocery shopping done! Finally fresh food in the house! 😉

post workout/lunch – 4



snack while unloading groceries & babysitting my friends 3 kids – 7


2 for 2 pts



dinner – orange chicken with mixed veggies and 1/2 cup rice – 7

I stir fried my chicken and onions and then added Panda Express Orange Sauce from the grocery store to the chicken and veggies. Was really good!

had a Supper Sampler with friends tonight where they meet monthly and have a theme. This time everyone brought Thanksgiving desserts – I got a tablespoon of each item and only half of the breads on a small plate.

It was SUPER yummy and I now have some awesome new recipes!!

There was; cranberry salad, cool whip fruit salad, pumpkin bunt cake, pumpkin bars, pumpkin pie dip with apples, homemade yeast rolls, mini pumpkin gingerbread cookie sandwiches with pumpkin cream cheese, and apple cider donuts. YUM.
