Happy Thanksgiving!

got my run in first thing- awesome weather!!  I ended up doing 7 miles. 😉

was bummed that my hubby didn’t get to run with me like we had planned – he was down in his back. :(

there’s something to be said about running in the country. peaceful. quiet. just awesome.

mid morning snack on the way to my Granny’s for Thanksgiving dinner – so that I wouldn’t arrive starving! – 0


My Thanksgiving plate yummy-ness!  roast, my dad’s fried turkey, baked corn casserole, dressing with gravy, sweet potato casserole(my FAV!), roasted parmesan green beans, & my Granny’s cornbread.


mid afternoon went back for another serving of sweet potato casserole and ate about half the dirty rice.



dessert – slice of pecan pie


I am so grateful for my little family!!! 😉

my Granny’s new dog had a ‘surprise’ puppy – he’s about 3 weeks old and sooooo FAT!!! was too cute!!


Got back to my parents and laid on the couch with a snack and watched Secretariat – I love that movie!


We {heart} Thanksgiving!!! 😉

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
