Home Sweet Home!!

We had a longggggg drive home from KS to TX!!!  I knew in the beginning this last leg of the trip would be the hardest after traveling for 2 weeks – but I still wasn’t prepared enough. Our oldest has been sick with fever and chills the last couple of days so she was miserable and coughing her head off, I had one child sit straight up from a nap saying she was about to throw up – thankfully she never did but stayed nauseous and came close several times so she lived with a bucket right next to her face the entire day, had our other sweet daughter end up literally hyperventilating and we had to stop and pull over, a little boy who only to watch his movies and pitched a fit when it was someone else’s turn to pick, a Daddy that was stressed and exhausted dreading the entire drive wishing he could beam us home, and a tired stressed out Mama having to put up with it all. We were all just worn out and it was starting to take its toll on everyone. Somehow we survived and made it home safely around 1:30am – came in with our pillows and went straight to bed!!!!! Home Sweet Home! 😉

Now we need a vacation from the vacation!!!

Our New Years Day on the road – again. 😉

organizing, packing, and loading all morning so I just ate a bar once we got on the road – 5

Court was so happy he got sent on the road with the peanut butter bars that Jade made the night before. 😉

I snacked on 2 throughout the day – made it hard to resist since I didn’t prepare very well or have a chance to go by the store and get any fruit or veggies for the drive home :/

lunch @ Subway – I actually had a breakfast sandwich cause I wasn’t in the mood for lunch at the time – tried the Subway Fit and Fresh Morning flatbread with turkey, egg whites, pepper jack cheese, and veggies along with Apple Snapz – 7 – a new sandwich fav on my list! 😉

snack – had a few fries and half of this ice cream – 6 – I was getting sleepy and should have taken a nap but kept fighting it to deal with the kids.

5 Dove dark chocolates – 5 – i love their little reminders about enjoying life 😉

got bored – 3

I pulled out my WW’s stuff I had with me so I could work on a couple of my New Years Resolutions – trying new recipes and making better weekly menus.  😉

a pretty Oklahoma sunset.

dinner from Braums – had never heard of it or eaten there before – but it was soo good!!!  had a burger and a few of my favorite kind of fries – crinkle cut – YUM!

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
