I Need A New Dress

Last Saturday (after going camping and before meeting up with friends) I walked into TJ Maxx and found a dress. I needed something to wear that night and didn’t have time to go all the way home before meeting up with everyone. I hate to shop. I never find anything I like.

But it was a *magical day* and the first thing I picked up was perfect!!!!

I don’t think I’ve stopped wearing this dress all week. It’s light, stretchy, comfy, and doesn’t wrinkle…. even though I keep throwing it on the floor when I’m done wearing it for the day. So….. you will see the blue and white striped dress a lot in these pics…

I have been so busy this week!!!! I can’t even get into every detail, but you know if you haven’t seen any blog posts from me…. I AM SWAMPED. Since blogging is one of my favorite hobbies…. I find it crazy that I had NO time for it this last week!

** 1 hour elliptical **

(protein shake, protein waffles with blueberries, pizza egg beaters, protein shake, protein bar, chicken & roasted veggies, and peppermint stick at kody’s concert)

**50 min elliptical, 10 min stair climber**

We had a great mentoring session with none other than Mr. David Frey. :) He also happens to be the ring leader behind our Tough Mudder team. Looking forward to doing that race in October!! Another blogger Roni completed hers a few weeks ago and posted this awesome video of each of the obstacles on the course! Click HERE….

The night my friend Katie moved, the electricity went out in our whole neighborhood!! We had planned to help her clean up her house before leaving in the morning…. It was interesting with no electricity, hot and muggy weather and lots of mosquitos!! Katie is one of the girls that is always checking to see if we are taking pictures of our food before we eat!! Gonna miss that about her!!! :(

(protein shake, protein waffle, protein bar, subway turkey sub, protein shake, and a cookie)

**5 min warm up on elliptical, 20 mins on the stair climber, and 20 mins back on the elliptical**

(protein bar, protein waffle, protein shake, turkey chili with roasted veggies, protein shake, chickfila salad, and chocolate oatmeal)

** ran/walked an hour with the running group **

Came home to finish cleaning my crazy house and decorate for my sister in law’s baby shower! Stephanie (my other sister in law) showed up just in time to stand up on my counters and hang decorations from the ceiling… it pays to be tall!!! (I’m only 5’3)

The baby shower was a success and it was so fun to visit and catch up with everyone!!

These are my 3 brothers… Nathan, Chase and Reece…. We wanted to take pics together and this was the crazy situation I got myself into….

(protein waffle, protein shake while cleaning my disaster of a kitchen and making cookies (check out the before/after pic of my kitchen), lots of shower treats were consumed, and even more food when I met up with our Tough Mudder team that night!)

Here are some random pictures of family and friends from the weekend! It was jam packed full of activities and fun!!!

Today I was able to spend some time with my family. We played Pictionary like we used to do back in the day. It was a lot of fun, but the crowning moment was when it was my dad vs. Candace……. any guesses on her picture????

I said, “Wow…. that looks like Marilyn Monroe….”

And WE WON! Candace for the WIN!!! :)

Anyway, crazy week again and lots of exciting things coming up!!

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!
