When I woke up today I was not in the mood to do much of anything but lay on the couch or stay in bed!!!! I am just mentally and physically drained in addition to having major shoulder/hip pain. As the morning went on I realized that I needed to make myself go through the motions of the basics of what needed to get done or I was just gonna feel worse and be mad at myself later. So, I got my workout clothes on and headed up to boot camp class with Monica. Thankfully I love that class because it sets the tone for my week. I struggled in there today and didn’t workout at my best – but I was there and did the best I could and that’s all that matters on days like today. Sometimes when our mind and body is screaming just go back to bed but your soul is telling you that you will feel better – that’s when you JUST DO IT and just do what you can and are able. When you really listen to your body and don’t let your mind tell you that you can’t – you will thank yourself later!
Because what I’ve learned is……….
And then later in the day you can always follow this……….
and YES I took a nap today.
