It was one of those days that my sweet little 4 year old decided to pitch a fit outside a store on the sidewalk like a 2 year old while I was having to run errands. Thankfully these sqwalling fits are few and far between nowadays. I always know when he gets like this its because he’s exhausted and really needs a nap.
I realized that the biggest accomplishment for me was staying calm and just smiling while I picked him up off the sidewalk and walked to the car to put him in his car seat. We didn’t get too far down the road before he fell asleep. I DID NOT let it ruin my day – which the stress of it all could have easily done!!
What things do you do (or most of the time in my case – TRY to do) to Keep Calm in stressful situations??
Breakfast – Go & Neuro in my water with my morning Vi-pak and then got straight to work and forgot my shake
Snack – Warm Nutra cookie—heated in the microwave for 20 seconds—–>YUMM!!!! (4pts+)
Lunch – Bullritos To Go – I LOVE Bullritos as a healthy alternative to fast food. I always get Salad style, no rice, no beans, grilled chicken, no cheese, cilantro ranch, pico, and peppers and onions (8pts+)
Snack – 5 dark chocolate covered almonds and crunchy pb with 1/2 a HUGE apple (7pts+)
Dinner – Migas – I saute’ yellow & red peppers with onions and a clove of garlic, 1 corn tortilla in pieces, then scramble in eggs until done, then add 1 Light Queso Fresco & Chipotle Laughing Cow wedge in and top with cilantro and pico. SO GOOD! (7pts+)
Snack – Vi-shake with almond/coconut milk (3pts+)
