My WW Science Fair Comparison

I loved reading your comments from the “Fat-urday” post!! I always hate to post the negative side of things…. but it’s always nice to get feedback and know that I’m not alone in this struggle. Thank you so much for your comments and support! :)

I’ve been busy today helping my son with his science fair project. We still have a few things to complete, but we managed to get a lot of things accomplished. Maybe I had this idea because it’s late and I’m tired… but to lighten the mood of the weekend…. I decided to liken my weight loss journey to his science fair project…. and have some fun with it!

Introduction: I’m just a girl, wife, and mother that is trying to feel good about herself. I would like to show others that it is possible to make a positive change in their life. I share my story and life through blogging.

Problem: Body image is a tricky thing in today’s society and I’m not sure when I will feel content.

Hypothesis: If I weigh 135 lbs, I will be happy and not have to worry about weight loss any more.

Material: Weight Watchers meetings, dietSNAPS App, WW Points Plus System, Food (Protein, Veggies, Fruit, Water, Desserts, Etc)

Procedures: I will receive a points plus allowance, additional weekly points, and activity points can be earned. There is also a list of healthy guidelines to follow. If I keep the rules of the game, I will lose weight.

Data/Results: Each time I follow Weight Watchers, I lose weight. I lose between 1 and 2 lbs per week. I have managed to lose 50+ lbs in the last 6 years by following the plan off and on.

Conclusion: Stick to the basics, don’t try to reinvent the wheel, and be flexible. There is no need to compare yourself to others. Be loving and kind to yourself. Things will not always be perfect. You will make mistakes, but that doesn’t mean you have lost the game. You are always invited to keep playing. Weight fluctuation is normal and a part of life. Look for the positives and be happy to be healthy!!!

Fire Bites:

(protein waffle, protein bar, doritos, swiss turkey melt, pretzels, and dove chocolate)

Another krazy weekend has come and gone…. the past is the past! Here’s to a great week! :)

What is your plan of attack???

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!

As long as I feel in control of myself all is good. I love that I can finally be at peace with making mistakes and jumping back on board. Never thnking, “I will start on Monday.” It truly is a lifestyle change and I am glad I figured that out!! Great post Lexi!!!

Thanks Teresa! It took me a while to figure out the “lifestyle change” concept… but it makes all the difference in the world! It’s so liberating knowing that you aren’t “dieting” anymore!
