Keep Calm and Move Along

New Recipes & News About My Burpees

This week has kind of been a blur…..I’ve been working on getting my head in the game with my organizational skills again. πŸ˜‰ I’ve been having headaches, neck, shoulder, hip pain for a while and was finally able to get in to see my awesome chiropractor yesterday – I was pretty jacked up!!! Β The things he fixes are always a combo of physical, emotional, and spiritual…….so after a few days of my body processing all the adjustments and some good rest – my pain and my head should be clearing out better. πŸ˜‰

I tried a couple new recipes this week that I will try to post individually……

broke out an old recipe on my Fav’s list – baked tilapia with Old Bay Seasoning and Green Giant Healthy Colors veggies

tried a WW recipe I recently saw – Easy Fried Rice and I added chicken 7p+

I found this cool recipe Baked Egg in Tomato Cups on a blog and tried it – it was really good and something different! Β 2p+

Green Chili beef enchiladas and an oldie recipe of mine Mexican Cornbread

I’ve had a protein smoothie with a spoon Peanut Butter Finger style a couple nights this week for dinner – 2pts+ (I used water, frozen banana, ISO 100 protein and ice cubes to thicken it up)

I also came across this Stuffed Shells recipe that was super yummy!

In other news – After a longggg talk with my husband and lots of thinking and debating back and forth – I am regretfully having to withdraw myself from the 100 day Burpee Challenge due to a shoulder injury. I am disappointed that I won’t get to accomplish a goal I set out to do – but at this point I need to listen to my body or I will just be causing more pain and problems in the long run. On a positive note, I am grateful for the benefits I have noticed from doing the burpee challenge this far- I have seen my core strength improve and especially seen a significant improvement in my push up reps. So I can be happy about that. πŸ˜‰

So now I’m just gonna……..

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
