New Year’s Eve

I knew today was going to be a doozy! Carman and I were on a mission to do some damage control. We headed out for a hilly 4 mile run this morning! The weather was awesome and it felt so good to be outdoors running. I had some pre-run peanut butter!

I was trying to get in some fruits and veggies today…. had a banana while cooking breakfast.

I made cheesy eggs with pico for everyone.

Had a protein bar on the way to the church gym! We had big plans to play basketball!

I used to play basketball in high school… and it has been quite some time since I have played… it was so fun!

I did my burpees during the breaks…. 61 burpees for the day…

Somewhere in the deal….. Courtney jammed his finger into my bicep! 😉 We can’t remember exactly what happened…. whether I was passing the ball, he was going up for a shot, who knows??? But his finger is swollen and my arm is getting a bruise!

The gang….

Everyone said my sweat looked like a smiley face! :)

Came home and made a sandwich right away…

Then started snacking on these!

Dinner was awesome! Prime rib, sweet potato and salad.

Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider….

Then the real snacking began! This dip was awesome!

2 of these rolls!

3 of these crescents…

And a peanut butter bar……… Can we say carb overload!!??

We ended the night playing lots of games…. the boys won the last one… we let them have their moment.

We are getting on the road in the morning to head back to Houston. It has been a great 2 week vacation! So glad that our family was able to enjoy time together this holiday season! I am so excited and looking forward to 2012!!!  Happy New Year everyone!!!

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!
