Puppy Love

Most of the weekend was spent listening to our son try to convince us that he wants a yellow lab!  We have not owned a dog in many years and he is ready for one again!  I know this may shock some of you, but we have never really been a “pet” family.  They are a huge responsibility and not one that we really want to take on.  The mom side of me feels guilty about it… “Every boy needs a dog!!” He even went so far as to create a power point presentation!!

Why does he have to be so cute about it??  It makes saying “No” so much harder!!  What do y’all think?

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!

Think about what Chase looked like on that Christmas morning when Santa dropped off Penny!!! But everyone involved would have to 100% agree, lest there be dog-kicking going on. I can’t abide that!!!

He really went to alot of trouble to convince you……..but I agree with your Mom it will have to be a team effort! My boys always had a dog and I ended up taking care of them but I liked them so it didn’t bother me. Mom I would really consider his request…..one day you will wake up and they will be gone! Love them while they are still at home!

Can I only say one thing other than the fact that I love this blog????
Your son is a gem! I cannot believe that he made a power point presentation to show the pros and support his case. If this is the way that he is going to approach items in life I think you did a great job.
I cannot believe that he made a power point presentation…FABULOUS!!!! Get him the dog this way you give him positive reinforcement for future endeavors.
    AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!

Thank you Lisa for your super kind comments about the blog. It’s so fun to hear from readers! :) We are definitely still *thinking* about the dog issue… It’s just such a huge responsibility for the whole family… He definitely knows how to make us think though…
