Recovery Day From Traumatic Icy Road, Snowy, Non Texan, Driving Experience!

Everyone was so happy to look out the window this morning and see the beautiful SNOW! We were piled in our room chatting about all of the fun things we want to do this week. First things first…. we needed a few grocery items to get us through the morning until we were able to make a real grocery store trip.

Look at this view outside of the door!  I love it!!!

Had a Protein Bar…

All of the adults decided to venture out to find a store close by… We were “so over” driving on the icy roads that we figured walking would be more fun. And SAFE! 😉  Yes, we’re Texans… laugh at us if you must! (…Cyndi…) Haha!

We probably looked like the craziest tourists in town…

They wanted a little pick me up…

Came back and had an apple while I made my protein WAFFLE! Yes, I’m shaken’ things up… Same protein pancake recipe but in a waffle iron! 😉

Ty and Kody started getting sick as we were coming into Denver… You can see it all over Ty’s face.

Mid afternoon, I was ready for something to snack on….  Spaghetti Squash W/Alfredo Sauce

Fiber One Brownie while grocery shopping!

Torry, Courtney and the older cousins went to watch the Texans game at a local restaurant…

While I stayed back with a sick Kody…….

Whey Protein Fruit Smoothie

Kody was too sick to finish his tortilla pizza… I ate it for him… 😉

And Carman roasted lots of veggies which were great!

Guess WHAT??? Now I get to go do my 52 burpees!  Woohoo, I’m so excited!!!!!

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!
