Road Trip to Canton!

I headed out at 6am this morning and drove 2 hours up to my mom’s to tag along with my mom & my sister another 3 hours to the Canton Trade Days.  My husband had the ‘privilege’ of getting the little kids up and off to school. Needless to say he was texting me at one point saying ‘How do you do this EVERY morning?!’  I just had to laugh out loud and say yep!!! That explains a lot about me don’t cha think!? hahaa ; )


My Gratitude for today is how grateful I am for a loving, caring, and supportive husband. He truly is amazing and can put up/handle some of the craziest stuff in life {from me, the kids, work, etc……}

I am so grateful that he is MINE forever. 😉

We made a restroom stop at Sonic and THIS happened……..


had it sitting on a bar in the bathroom and it fell off and landed face down on the floor – this is what it looked like when I picked it up. So much for my new OtterBox case helping out!

This is where I am headed. I almost had my mom & sister just drop me off there as we passed by.

I decided I wasn’t going to let this ruin my trip. I was pretty bummed for a while but am just gonna have a good time while I’m here and deal with it when I get back home. Thankfully everything still works on it.

it is cold up here today so my sister and I split a ‘small’ hot chocolate that was in a HUGE cup – 4


all 3 of us shared these fried pies –  strawberry cheesecake and chocolate – 4??


We got to shop for about 4 hours today and left when everyone was shutting down.  We went to get some dinner so we could then check into our hotel. We chose On the Border since neither my sister or I had been close to one in a long time.

My mom ordered guacamole LIVE (they come hand make it at your table) and queso – also had chips & salsa – 8?

Thank goodness for the WW mobile app and that On the Border is in there!! Helped us change our mind on what we originally wanted cause of the Pts+ value.  We chose a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce with grilled veggies instead of beans & rice. It was really good and having those veggies hit the spot!  -6



We ran some errands but before heading to ur hotel we were wanting some dessert ………..

they had never had frozen custard so we all 3 shared a small cup of chocolate frozen custard – 4??

It was sooooooooo good and creamy!!

next I looked up the closest fro yo bar on my phone that was on the way to our hotel and talked them into stopping so I could show them this new experience. The guy working at Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt was awesome and helped us with sampling all the flavors we wanted and answered all their questions. Super awesome!  They were just planning on sharing with me but after trying a few flavors my mom got her own bowl! 😉

As I was laying my stuff out to get ready for tomorrow,I got my breakfast stuff out that I brought and set it by the microwave so when I’m ready for it in the morning its there. My mom noticed it a little while later and said ‘Did you really bring your own bowl, spoon, and oatmeal??’ I said ‘I sure did – I have the same thing {oatmeal} pretty much every morning for breakfast!’

There is comfort in knowing I will get my hearty oatmeal in the morning and not worry  about having to try to ‘do good’ while driving through for breakfast on the way to shopping again tomorrow. The biggest bonus is that it keeps me full and satisfied for several hours –  which helps keep my blood sugar stable and keep my cravings to minimum!
