Road Trip to Kansas!! ;)

We are up in Kansas again but this time for a cousins wedding!  Court & I and Torry & Lexy  got the priviledge to take a road trip – this time with NO kids!  :) (Thank you Terry & Randy and Claretta for taking care of our kiddos while we’re away!! 😉 )

I was runnin’ around like a banchee ALL day and literally ALL night long…..I decided to not go to bed since we were leaving at 4am so I could get my laundry done and put away and finishing organizing my house, packing and thoughts before we left. Can’t remember the last time I pulled an ALL nighter!!! Gonna be paying for that one later! :/

Our first stop a couple of hours down the road was at our fav Buc-ee’s!!!!  This blinged out longhorn was in the BATHROOM and Lexy chuckled as we walked by and I said ‘Can’t you see that in my house?!!’  and she said “YEP!” So we had to get a pic!! :)

my hubby and I shared a yummy Buc-ee’s sausage, egg and cheese croissant sandwich – abt 5pts

us passed out in the back – I am under the blue and white blanket and Torry calling me the mummy ever since – hahaha – I planned it that way on purpose because I knew *somebody* would be taking pics while I was asleep. :/

Somebody was the only one awake! (thank goodness!) hahaha 😉

I crashed for several hours!!! Next thing I knew they were waking me up at 10:30 saying we were pulling into Cracker Barrel for breakfast – I felt like a zombie!!!

had the eggbeaters and bacon with tomatoes – 4pts

had a few bites of Courtney’s YUMMY multigrain pancakes

the boys had to pose for a ‘game’ of checkers on the way out

hahaha

we passed by Toby Keith’s hometown! 😉

had a bar 3 hours later – 6pts

we changed clothes and got freshen up so we could walk into the Bridal shower when we got there

the gang 😉

I brought healthy snacks so we could be prepared and not give in to the convinence store junk. Since it was getting close to dinner time and we were waiting till we got there to eat  – I had a banana to tide me over

*one tip is that I kept all the snacks in trunk – so I could only get them out once it was time to eat again and when we were at stops. Not having them right at my feet wanting to munch and snack the whole 14 hour drive really helped a lot!

also had some grapes

fun food at the Bridal shower! fruit & veggies and an AWESOME LemonHead cookie!!

also ate some ‘real’ food – AMAZING teriyaki and a little potato salad

While we were having Bachelorette fun the guys were out having their fun playing Whirlyball and Go Carts……

I also had one cupcake that was DELICOUS!!!!

it had a marshmallow creme filling!!! YUM!!!

the guys made it home with no injuries! 😉

enjoyed a peanut butter reeses cookie…….

and lastly……this yummy sugar cookie!!! hahahaa

Fun times getting to hang out with everyone!

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
