Running, Headache, and Parents :)

1 tsp peanut butter before going out for an early morning run – 1

*3.35 miles in 30 mins* +5

Protein waffle with bananas! Thx to Torry for grabbing some bananas at the store for me! -5

Half the fat ice cream – 6

Swiss turkey melt with a side of roasted veggies – 4

Fiber one bar – 2

I ended up getting a huge headache today… sometimes after a treatment from Torry… the body starts cleaning house. It causes some detox like symptoms. I took a nap and tried to take it easy.

Whey protein fruit smoothie – 4

My parents came over today. It was nice to be able to visit and catch up. They went out of town earlier in the week and filled me in on their trip. I’m also excited that my mom has decided to sign up for her first 5K! Read more about it HERE!

We ended up at La Brisa for dinner! So good! -6

And now I’m chillin’ with a cup of my favorite cereal while watching Vampire Diaries – 3

    Hey! I love your blog and read it daily for inspiration.I have a comment and a question. First the comment: I am addicted to the chargrilled and fruit salad at Chick Fil A! And it’s all your fault! :) I’ve eaten there forever and ALWAYS had the sandwich and fries. Since starting Weight Watchers, I’ve just avoided the place altogether. I had never tried their salads at all. Until I saw the points value on your blog. I tried one and LOVE it! Thank you!
    Question: Lexy, I’m training for my first 5K. How long have you been running?

      Hahaha about the salad @Chickfila! It really is good huh! I love it so much. :)
      About your first 5K! So awesome! I’m really excited for you. I have been running off and on throughout my life. It was always my favorite choice of exercise, but it wasn’t until about 6 years ago that I started getting more serious about it. I went to a running store and got fitted for a good pair of running shoes. I got a few running books from Jeff Galloway. I highly recommend his run/walk method. When I started running at my heaviest weight of 188 lbs, I couldn’t even make it a half of a mile… but I didn’t give up and I have now been able to run 2 full marathons and several half marathons. Your body has a crazy ability to adapt and it gets better and better over time. I could go on and on about running… last summer I did a post about the running gear i prefer, you may find it helpful?
