Sickness and more Birthday Fun

My oldest daughter started coming down sick on Thursday while we were in KS with fever and chills. By the time we were on our way home Sunday she had developed a cough. She didn’t get to go with us out to eat at La Brisa last night cause she was feeling so bad and by the time we got home she said every time she tried to get up she felt light headed, dizzy and about fell over. I woke up this morning to her saying that her cough was getting worse and it was starting to scare her. That had me worried and when I saw that she was ghostly sheet white and I decided I need to get her into the doctor right away. Thankfully they gave us an apt for an hour later. After the doctor listening to her breath sounds, a negative flu swab, and a chest x-ray, he confirmed that she has pneumonia!!!  None of us in our family has ever had pneumonia so this was all new and shocking to me!  Thankfully we caught it in time so she doesn’t have to be hospitalized – but he said that she has both types of pneumonia so she gets to take 2 different antibiotics to clear it up. She’s home on the couch and out of school and basketball the rest of the week. We’re hoping and praying that the antibiotics make her start feeling better soon- I’ve never seen her so weak and sick!

got Dev breakfast from Sonic to try to get her to eat something because she hasn’t had an appetite for the last 5 days- and I still have to get to the store. I had half of a toaster sandwich – 9

Finished up our Reflections blog post for 2011! It was neat to look back over the past year at all we’ve done and accomplished.

Made my gi-normous grocery list and headed out to the store with Tay & Jay. They wanted to pick out Bubba a birthday present.

Had a Cashew pretzel Zonebar before going into the store – 5 – was hoping it would help me ‘buy less’ if I wasn’t hungry. 😉

After what felt like HOURS at Wal-Mart getting stocked up in groceries again- we  made it back home to unload and give him his present. He’s getting a birthday celebration week! 😉

He’s a peeker so I had to cover his eyes!! 😉

dinner from Wendy’s – I drove thru on the way home from the store and grabbed their ultimate grilled chicken sandwich – comes with honey mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, and I had them add pickles and onions. -10

When we were visiting Dave & Kamie, she had a ton of these different spices in her pantry. They all smelled good so I grabbed a few while at the store tonight to liven up the flavor in our foods again. I love seasonings and all different flavors so I can’t wait to try them all! 😉

I put this flavor on my grilled chicken sandwich and it was sooo good!!!


Read scriptures as a family, had family prayer, and got kids in bed for school starting back up tomorrow!  Wahooooo for school starting!!!!!

Can’t wait to tackle my massive To-Do list!!!!  😉

I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
