Simple and Small Changes………

Woke up this morning, got the kids all off to school, and a certain little man was in my bed so I crawled back into bed. That is SOOO not like to me to do unless I am actually sick……but today I just felt completely mentally and physically exhausted and had no desire to get up and do anything. Thankfully my awesome Chiropractor/Applied Kinesiologist was able to get me in this morning. He just laughed at me when I walked in – I guess he could sense how jacked up I was just by looking at me!!!  😉  Lexy gave an awesome explanation of what he does HERE.…..I could tell a huge difference when leaving his office today so I know I will feel even better tomorrow and the days to come.

oatmeal with cinnamon and apple on the way out the door this morning – 3

Found this AWESOME concept taped to the wall his in office today –  he found it in a book he’s reading right now about thoughts and habits called The Compound Effect.  I thought it was very fitting considering my post and thoughts from yesterday’s post. 😉 I will be posting this on my mirror and refrigerator as a reminder!

starving for lunch and some protein after so drove through Jack-in-the-Box and got some grilled chicken strips – 6 with honey mustard dipping sauce – 2

trying to consciously drink MORE water

made up some butternut squash fries when I got home to round off my lunch

Zonebar snack – 5

*took a short little cat nap and was so relaxed and comfy that I was aggravated I couldn’t sleep longer!! Thankfully when I got up and started moving around I felt better.

piddled too long getting ready and instead of having cereal like the rest of my family I grabbed a Zonebar and a banana and ate it on the way to the church for the youth New Beginnings Program.

made sure and got my dose of supplements in right after eating dinner

gorgeous cake – THIS is what I had to face after the program for refreshments!!!!!!!

this is a weakness for me!!!!!!! I did not get a piece of my own (cause I seriously could have eaten that whole thing!)  but instead I ate a couple of bites of my girls cake and cake ball. YUM-O!

I came home and had a few grapes to get that sugary taste out of my mouth! That taste lingering seriously just makes me crave MORE SUGAR!

and just for the record – I did the dishes and SHINED MY SINK FlyLady style!!!! I almost scoffed at it and  just went  straight to bed but instead I figured it would only take me a few minutes and I will be so HAPPY when I get up in the morning and my kitchen is CLEAN. Awesome!

Night all. 😉

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
