Sledding FUN and Burpees in the SNOW!!!

These boys being sooo cute this morning at breakfast!

Miss Jayde

Courtney, Torry, and Gabe went to get haircuts this morning and came across and old time barber shop. The barber was 80 years old and has been a barber in Estes Park for 30 years now!!!

I love small towns! 😉  This barber reminds me of my Papaw Pryor.

Gabe with his thumbs up and a wink! haha!

Gratitude moment: The guys chatted with a man that was getting his haircut before them, and they talked about what they each did for a living….when he found out Courtney was in the service he told them about how he flew helicopters in Vietnam. Later this sweet man paid for all three of their hair cuts as he was leaving.  I am so grateful for sweet people like this who pay it forward daily to others. What a sweet act of service and it never fails to make me tear up when I hear stories of service like this. What a great patriotic country we live in! :)

We took our kids to Hidden Valley in the Rocky Mountain National Park to go sledding – it was so much fun!!  We were at about 9000ft and it was COLD!!!!!!!!

Here are some pics from our FUN! 😉

Gabe was having soooo much fun!!!!

my husband decided to do his 53 burpees for the burpee challenge today in the snow while we were up on that mountain – his little brother told him he wasn’t a ‘real man’ until he did burpees in the snow……so that sounded like a challenge to him!!!  hahaha! 😉

FUN!!!!

Gabe showing his ‘muscles’!  He did NOT want to leave that sledding hill!!

before we left I figured since my hubby was brave enough to do his in the snow (and at elevation!!!) I thought I might as well knock mine out too……….

He even got some video :)

just one more way and place that you can do burpees!!!!!  😉

YAY for burpees!!!!!

thankfully my sweet hubby was on standby for CPR cause this sea-level living Texas girl was smoked after doing burpees at 9000ft and in the Snow!!!!!!  one for the record in my books!!!! 😉

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
