road trip

T-break weekend recap

SATURDAY 11/26

* was just about to get dressed to head out for a 5 mile run when I walked outside to check the weather and talk to my Dad & Courtney sitting out there when it started to sprinkle…..we moved onto the back porch and a few minutes later the sky opened UP and down poured!!!!  I was soooo glad I wasn’t out there on the highway trying to find cover from it raining cats and dogs!!  was pretty bummed that I couldn’t get my run in. :(

my Daddy started making breakfast – fresh pork sausage and links with eggs…..breakfast southern style!

grateful for the times like these. 😉

I can make myself sick on his homemade sausage. 😉

we headed home before the next band of storms came through. It was 80% chance of rain all day and MUCH needed!!!  My parents have been under a burn ban for 7 months and it just got lifted a couple days ago. cRaZy!

snack on the way home- was out of my Zone bars :(

kids being silly on the road trip home 😉

late lunch – ate cheese stick while waiting on our mini pizzas to get done. Had to get creative cause I need to get to the store. Used Garlic Toast to make our pizzas along with spaghetti sauce, cheese, and turkey pepperoni. yum!

snack – apple & PB.

dinner while watching Blue Bloods – salad greens with Brianna’s Real French dressing and almond accents.

slice of DiGiornos pizza I had in the freezer – forgot the pic

Defintely starting to feel all the sugar catching up with me!!  Feeling crappy and killer headaches!!

*did not get my burpees in due to my crazy headache

About Carman

36 year old military wife of 18 years and stay at home mom to 4 incredible kids (3 girls ages 17, 11, 11 and our son is 6). After my 4th, and final baby, I decided I wanted to be more active, healthier, happier, and to be an example to my kids. I joined Weight Watchers and started using the Points Plus program to learn portion control, moderation, and develop healthier habits. I also used the dietSNAPS app to track my meals and it was such a life changer for me to literally *see* what I was putting in my body! Cyndi, Lexy and I created this blog to be accountability partners and that has been a huge key to this journey! I love to cook and I love converting my favorite recipes into a healthier version for my family to enjoy! I love the after effects of exercising :) I love challenging myself to fitness goals to change things up and in doing so I have run numerous 5K/10K's, several half marathons, one full 26.2 marathon, and a Tough Mudder. I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
