Tuesday…

No workout today, not feeling it…I really wanted a yummy breakfast!

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 whites, sourdough toast with jam, and oj

Did our usual Tuesday routine, took Cole to the rec center to play, had lunch at Kneaders, went to swimming, went to taekwondo, blah blah blah

Lunch: 1/2 tuna on whole wheat…Keller ate the other half…and a few parm chips

Snack: I was craving a mint oreo chocolate chip shake from our favorite shake place in Kamas…unfortunately but fortunately they put way too many chocolate chips in it so I only ended up eating about 1/4 of it

Dinner: mom made the chicken enchilada veggie soup I posted back in january, click HERE for recipe…topped with greek yogurt, avocado, and cilantro

Wednesday…

Had my usual pre-workout snack 1tsp of PB and half a banana and went to spin.  After had my usual breakfast.

Went to the hospital to volunteer for the last time.  I’m bummed cause I have really enjoyed volunteering there, but with a newborn and us moving back to Austin I have to say goodbye!  Snacked on a balance bar during my shift and then had my green smoothie (I’m really going to miss these) and half a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich…and fries…again.  Needless to say, I wasn’t starving for dinner a few hours later so I just had a small plate.

Dinner: flank steak and green beans

I spent a little too much time on my feet at the hospital and started feeling it after dinner.  I curled up in the fetal position on the couch until Keller finally made me go to bed.

Thursday…

Buns and guns class today, I was all ready and raring to go when I started to have a pain on the left lower side of my belly.  Keller forbid me from going so I just got ready for the day.  The pain kind of came and went and came and went, but wasn’t too terrible.  We had a day full of errands to do in Salt Lake.  Since I’d already had my pre-workout snack, I just grabbed a Fage yogurt for breakfast on our way out.

Our first errand was to pick up my ring that was being re-dipped at the jeweler.  By the time we were done, my pain was so intense that I could barely walk back to the car.  I decided to call my dr.  She didn’t seem too concerned, but told me if I was worried to head over to the labor and delivery at the hospital to get checked out (her office is in Park City, the hospital I will deliver at is in Salt Lake, we were in Salt Lake).  I had an appointment for some beautification and decided I would wait and see how I felt after.  By the end of the appointment the pain was completely gone. I’m thinking he was sitting on a nerve or something and finally moved.

Lunch: Cheesecake Factory Skinnylicious mexican chicken lettuce wraps

Needed a treat…and I was super excited cause Cold Stone now has frozen yogurt!!  I got a Like It size chocolate yogurt with brownie.

I met up with mom when we dropped Cole off for taekwondo and we headed over to the brand new Nordstrom (my favorite store, if you didn’t know) downtown that isn’t even open yet but was having a shoe party.  And like I would ever say no to a party that involved shoes!!  Hello?!?!  Here’s a few pairs I tried on…got lots of stares walking around in the heels.  Apparently people have never seen a pregnant woman wear high heels??

Dinner: I wasn’t starving so I shared a beet and goat cheese salad with mom and had some of her steak with some of my potato gnocchi and green beans…after about 4 bites I was done!

Friday…

Spin again, had my pre-workout and post-workout/breakfast norm.

Keller wanted to see the movie 21 Jump Street and since Channing Tatum was in it, of course I was going!

We grabbed sandwiches and I had an apple in the theater.  By the time the movie was over it was time to pick up Cole from school.  We came home and Daddy and Cole rode bikes in the driveway…we are trying really hard to teach Daddy how to ride a 2-wheeler, but we can’t get him off his strawberry shortcake tricycle!

We met up with Aunt Sasa and her friend Kim at El Chubasco for dinner.  I had 2 shrimp tacos and some chips with pico.

On the way home Sasa stopped at the store and bought some Starburst jelly beans…I swear they will be the death of me…oh well, I still have a few days left of justifying eating whatever I want 😉

Rise and Shout the Cougars were out…weekend recap

Busy weekend…

Friday started off with a wonderful hour of yoga.  It has been soooo long way to long since I’ve done yoga and I could tell.  I was so stiff and having troubles doing position that usually aren’t a problem.  My goal this next week is to wake up every day and do at least 10 minutes of yoga every morning.  Cole had school off due to a teacher training weekend so his cousins came up to grammy and papa’s house to play.  We went to the park, got ice cream, and watched Harry Potter.  At night we went out for dinner at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants up in Park City.  They have the best chips and delicious shrimp tacos.  Apparently everyone else in Park City had the same idea cause it was packed.  We had 5 adults and 5 kids trying to find a table in this tiny restaurant.  The kids were tired, it was hot, and it took forever to get our food then Cole was either dehydrated or just exhausted or a mixture of both, but almost barfed all over the place.  I had to cut in front of this little girl waiting for the bathroom so that he didn’t barf all over the restaurant.  So we went home and got him to bed, with a little 7up and some toast he was feeling much better.

Food for FRIDAY:

My sister brought the ingredients for us to try a Persian snack that friends of hers introduced her to.  It’s Persian bread with feta cheese, walnuts, and prunes.  I have to be honest, at first it didn’t sound so good, but it was actually delicious!

After the park, we took the kids to get an ice cream.

Dinner: shrimp tacos from El Chubasco

SATURDAY…spent most of the day at the BYU/Idaho State football game.  Tried to not go crazy on food today.  Started with a bowl of my favorite Nature’s Path flaxseed cereal.

Snack/Lunch: The fam decided to stop at Wendy’s before getting on the road to go to the game.  Luckily I brought an apple and a Balance Bar, cause I knew I wanted to save my calories for a treat at the game.

My phone did not work at all in the stadium so I didn’t get a pic of my treats…my favorite thing to get at BYU games is called a cougar tail, it’s basically a big A maple bar…I also needed some substance so I grabbed a chicken salad from Costa Vida (similar to Cafe Rio) tortilla, rice, chicken, lettuce, pico, dressing.  They were both soooo yummy!  And Cole had a great time at his first football game!

I’m not sure what my deal was, but I did not feel good at all on the way home.  I think it was a combination of nausea just from being in a car and having all that food in my stomach.  So I went straight to the treadmill when we got home.  Ran my intervals 45 min run 2min/walk 1.  Felt sooo much better after that!

Dinner: Chobani greek yogurt w/fruit

SUNDAY…I literally did nothing today, scratch that, I took my parents to the airport and then I did nothing.  Made some eggs w/turkey and toast for breakfast.  Cole wanted soup for lunch so we had some more of the Trader Joe’s butternut squash soup with  a muenster grilled cheese sandwich and some grapes.

We watched some movies and then took naps.  Snacked on some Twizzlers pull-n-peel, dang you Sherilynn, apple, and some tortilla chips.

Sherilynn was so nice and made dinner.  She made pasta w/fresh tomato and basil sauce and a delicious salad.  I’m being spoiled by people cooking for me!!

Been craving these since I got here.  So I decided to make them and get them out of my system.  Started with one, but by the time the night was over I’m pretty sure I had 4!

Had a moment of weakness, should have gone upstairs to made a healthy snack, instead I found whatever candy I could get my hands on and ate them.  Did not feel awesome after this binge!

After two weeks of a sinus infection and bronchitis, I finally started feeling better this week. YAY! And the weather has been gorgeous so that means I got to walk THE HILL!!!  Mom and I walked it Tuesday and then again today with our neighbor Kathy.

TUESDAY menu:

Breakfast- Nature’s Path flaxseed cereal and toast w/pb

Snack- Chobani

Lunch- turkey and muenster cheese toasted on whole grain bread w/avocado slice and carrots

Had a job interview at the Montage Resort in Deer Valley for a concierge position.  It lasted 2 hours!  I’m still debating whether or not I want the job.  It’s only part-time and I was looking for something to keep me busy with Keller is gone and while Cole is in school.  I’ll keep you updated.

Dinner: drove to Provo to see friends before they moved and grabbed some BBQ chicken pizza, salad, and garlic bread from a popular Provo pizza restaurant Brick Oven.

Treat: Keller brought me home one of my favorite treats, a cinnamon scone from Great Harvest Bread…he’s the devil!

WEDNESDAY menu:

Breakfast- Keller requested french toast AND scrambled eggs…I made it with great harvest wheat bread and it was soooo good!  I make my french toast very simple, pam the pan, dip the bread in a scrambled egg, top with lite syrup, it’s delicious and depending on the type of bread you use only 4-5 points.

Cole was at school so Keller and I went to the outlets to shop for some winter clothes for Cole.

Lunch- Cafe Rio shredded chicken salad…so here’s the dealio, I used to LOVE cafe rio like LOVE LOVE and since I’ve been back I’ve been twice and honestly I don’t like it anymore.  If anyone who used to know me when I lived in Utah reads this they will be flabbergasted!  I blame Chipotle.  I think Chipotle changed my taste buds.  The dressing is too mayonnaise-y, the tortilla although still good and I used to find delicious is really thick and most likely not good for you, and I like the rice better at Chipotle.  It’s disappointing!  So I guess I’m a Chipotle convert, sorry Cafe Rio!

Went to see REAL STEEL with Keller and my dad.  Thought it was going to be a stupid movie about fighting robots, but it was actually really good!!  I laughed, cried, and everything in between.  Definitely recommend it, plus Hugh Jackman is hot!

Snack- 5 red vines

Dinner- Cole requested spaghetti for dinner.  Used ground turkey, squash, zucchini, onion, Classico tomato and basil sauce, seasoned with garlic salt, seasoned pepper and bay leaves.  Served over organic wheat pasta, with a side of sourdough garlic toast and fruit.

Another walk up the hill.

Headed down to Salt Lake to pick up my 2 nephews.  Took all 3 boys to get hamburgers, fries, and shakes at In-N-Out.  I was so excited cause it had been awhile since I’ve had it.  I grew up on In-N-Out being from California, so for me it’s a nostalgia thing and I will always enjoy it!

The only thing I regretted from eating this for lunch was the fact that I kept burping it up for the next 6 hours.  TMI I know!  It will be awhile before I eat there again because of the way it made me feel, but there will be special occasions.

Stopped by Nordstrom on the way to the park to return something and found the cutest diaper bag…I can’t decide which color?

Dinner- met college friends for dinner, shared some pita and humus and ordered fish tacos.  It was more like a fish burrito, I actually hated it.  The fish was dry and had no flavor.

Dessert- trying to make up for dinner we stopped by Cold Stone and I got a Like It size chocolate w/brownie.

I know I need to do much better at taking pics…I’m trying.  I have 2 more days with Keller and then I promise I’ll be better at my documenting.  The title of the post has multiple meanings…I’m trying really hard not to get into the “I’m pregnant I can eat whatever” mode, but I’m also having a hard time getting back in a routine after 2 months of craziness.
