SPRING BREAK 2012!!

I’m BACK! It’s only been a little over a week since I posted last….but it sure seems like its been longer than that!  I’m pretty sure no one really missed me 😉  but I took a nice and much needed break from everything for Spring Break. 😉

Here are some highlights of each day. This is gonna be a doozie of a post!!!!  But I promise I didn’t post every food pic! :)

FRIDAY- 3/9

I spoke too soon about that gorgeous weather when I posted HERE! :( It was a teaser and didn’t last long at all. It started raining and was colder weather again for a couple days. Such a bummer cause of our Spring Break starting!!!!  The kids were happy that it was Spring Break nonetheless – especially the teenager!!!! 😉

Since it was STORMING outside when the kids got home – I decided to try the ‘broom’ experience I’d seen floating around Facebook……I’m not sure what the real story is about this but it WORKS and is cRaZy cool!!!!

I’d heard you could do it with a broom, egg and a quarter – so I tried all 3……

not.even.kidding.!!

It was crazy awesome!!!!!

Friday Fire Bites:

My hubby requested donuts…..ugh – they will be the death of me cause I have no willpower!

Had an old fashioned maple glazed donut -{hint #1 as to where my week was headed! 😉 }

Lunch/Snack – Zone Perfect bar

had a bite of the kids Dominoes pizza before we left for our Date night so that I didn’t show up starving.

Our good friend (and my husbands boss) Jim invited us to eat at one of our favorite Sushi places called Michiru with another one of our friends (and my husbands co-worker)  Steve and his wife Erin. This is our 2nd time eating here for a date night together – except the 1st time was wayyyy too long ago.

Appetizers we shared – Martini Crispy Shrimp with Spicy Thai sweet and sour sauce…….

Salmon Puffs (SUPER YUMM!!) and also had edamame

Then we ordered several rolls and shared them all. They were ALL sooooo GOOD!!!

Spicy Girl and The Angus

Red Dragon and the Dancing Eel

Crazy Crab – one of my fav’s with that Thai dipping sauce again!

The Michiru – their presentation is soooo pretty and cool on all their dishes!

Jim, Erin and Steve

Courtney and I with Jim

My hubby and I followed it up with dessert at our new fav FroYo place Menchies

SATURDAY – 3/10

**It was raining so instead of running Lexy and I met up at the gym – I did 50 minutes on the elliptical

grabbed a Muscle Milk Light protein shake while in HEB stocking up on some groceries

Went home and literally cleaned house for 4 hours to get ready for my in-laws to come into town and stay with us for the night

had a late lunch of frito pie with Wolf Turkey Chili and Fritos

had a banana while resting for a few minutes before getting ready for our dinner out with the adults in the family

Dinner at our FAVORITE place – La Brisa!!

I had my usual Chicken Fajita Lettuce wraps with pico and guacamole and too many chips with salsa and green sauce :/

We decided that the night would not be complete w/out a little dessert – from Menchie’s of course! 😉

I LOVE their Chocolate Silk and the Dolce de Leche froyo!!!

the gang! 😉

SUNDAY – 3/11

I made Granny Hinson rolls for the family for breakfast – had one with strawberry freezer jam on it 😉

Zone bar on the way to church for snack

Ty’s special day 😉

Lexy prepared a feast of sandwich fixin’s!

I made enough salsa and green sauce to feed an Army!!! {I also ate that much too!!!!}

Had more cookies than I could count on 2 hands! aka – I lost count how many I ate. :/

Aunt Jackie got to come for the day! It was soo good to get to catch up with her.  It was such a nice afternoon just hanging out and visiting with all the family!

Later that evening the kids had a church Fireside and dinner to attend in preparation of leaving for their 3 day Pioneer Trek!

I got to help out for the night and had to dress the part as well! 😉

cute decorations!

Devyn and Ty found out there were in the same ‘family’!

Carb loading lasagna for the big Trek! 😉

Ty was all smiles and super excited for this adventure!

I was still so full from eating so much at Lexy’s – but when they came around with Texas Sheet Cake!!!!! – I couldn’t turn it down. :(  It was soooooo good!!! :)

MONDAY – 3/12

*Boot Camp- got there and to my surprise we had a substitute – his name was Art – the funniest thing is that he was wearing a shirt that said “Work of Art”!!! hahaha  He has a website called www.cardioassassin.com – that should give you some idea at what a crazy workout it was!!!

my hubby texted me and said ‘the kids need donuts since they are on Spring Break” – ugh – snacked on 2 maybe 3 donuts throughout the day

post workout – our FAV protein waffle with banana and agave

The kids had friends over all day as we cleaned house and decided to go ahead and head up to my parents while Devyn was gone on the Pioneer Trek. They were doing the Trek only about an hour and a half away from where my parents live in East Texas.

snack – carrots and ranch while packing up things in my fridge to take with us

the kids and hubby all got McDonalds but I had no desire to eat anything there. So he kindly pulled into Subway for me so I could get a turkey & ham sandwich on our way out of town.

I tried these new Parmesan Sun Chips {thanks to Cyndi always eating Parmesan chips with her awesome sandwiches its had me wanting to try some!!!} Well now Subway has some and they were really good!

oh – and I also had more than 1 Subway chocolate chip cookie on the 2 hour drive up to my parents. :/

TUESDAY – 3/13

Slept in a little and it was soooo nice!!!

*I got some new running kicks on our way out of town cause I am WAYYYY overdue for a new pair of new running shoes. My last pair I bought towards the end of 2008 while training for my Houston Half Marathon that I ran in January of 2009. It is 2012 people!!  I have always bought the Brooks Adrenaline GTS ‘s for the last 6+ years and just LOVE LOVE them!!! This time I’ve been researching and trying on the newest trend of minimus shoes on ALL the brands that are out and I FINALLY found a pair several weeks ago that I loved – AND the best part is that they are by BROOKS!!!  I was soooo happy to see them come out with this minimus style shoe cause its the only shoe that I tried on that fit perfect!!! These are the PureConnect style – they are SUPER light-weight and feel like a smooth glove on. I always get giddy and excited running in new shoes!!!! That’s motivation for ya!!!

***If you haven’t done so already, I would HIGHLY suggest going to your local running shoe store and have them fit you for the perfect shoe for you – no matter if you run OR just walk or both.  I didn’t think it was really a big deal but decided to bite the bullet and do it when I was training for my first Half Marathon in Seattle back in 2004 – all I can say is IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!!!!  😉 {That’s your HASU for the day!}

this is why I love running in the country! 😉

**6 miles (ran to the nearest little town and back to my parents)

*I narrowly escaped a dog attack from the neighbors dog diagonally across the highway from my parents on my way back!  Thankfully I was able to fend him off (barely) and thankfully I had a feeling to stop backing up away from him and then realized I was backing into the highway while a car was coming!! Thankfully the car that was coming down the road in that lane saw what was happening and had slowed way down as they passed by me- then they turned around about the time I was able to take my eyes off the dog for a second and look both ways to run across to the other side of the highway to get away from the dog!  They came back to my rescue and ran into the ditch at the dog about the time I had picked up something on the shoulder of the road ready to chunk it at the dog. Thankfully the dog stayed on his side of the highway and I was unharmed. The more I think about what all could have gone wrong during that incident that morning the more I am soooo grateful for being protected and watched over and for Good Samaratins!!!!  So word to the wise – ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings and be prepared and ALWAYS be aware of others who may be in need of help!!! This dog has run at me before but never like this. Next time I will be even more prepared and take more precautions.

good ole’ home cooked country breakfast!!! 😉  Fried eggs, bacon and some of my Daddy’s homemade pork sausage

cousin time!

Jayde with Gus (my parents Rat Terrier) and our Duke (they are brothers 😉 )

the kids played outside and in the mud ALL day

dinner – homemade hamburgers, french fries and sweet potato fries

WEDNESDAY – 3/14

felt pretty stuffed (and gross) from eating so much!!! made my hubby and I a protein pancake with strawberries….but what do you use when there is no syrup or cool whip for 30 miles ……..a drizzle of Mayhaw syrup!!!!!! 😉 {only in the country!}

lunch – flat out bread pizzas

*I picked Devyn up when they were passing through on their way home from Trek – she had such an awesome experience!!!! When we got back to my parents she walked in to my mom’s room and crashed on her bed for a good 3 hours! 😉

snacked on Dove dark chocolate while porch sittin’

lots of porch sittin’ :)  The weather was gorgeous and sunny!!!

I don’t think my kids wore shoes the whole time we were there 😉

the kids having a flower pickin’ contest! 😉

just chillin in the pasture

a little Blue Bell ice cream while sitting on the porch is always a must! 😉

I got snack-y cause my mother always has these kinds of things in her house :/ – these are soooo good!!!

first time trying these and they are soooo good!

These are only 2 points and really good!

dinner – my Daddy cooked us fresh pork ribs while my sister and I cooked the sides to go with it – she cooked cabbage, I cooked green beans and we had leftover fries

THURSDAY – 3/15

Slept in. Then when we got up we got busy packing and cleaned house then headed home so I could take my hubby for his {early} birthday present to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo tonight to see (my other man 😉 ) Jason Aldean in concert! 😉

We had to make a few stops on the way home. When we were leaving my sister told me about this shirt that I just NEEDED to get – so of course I HAD to stop and buy it – think it fits me??! 😉  Check out Lexy’s post HERE if you’re not sure……..hahahahaha

Gabe was so cute on the way home – he was cracking himself up and laughing so hard! (probably from exhaustion! 😉 )

one of my BFF’s came into town from Dallas this week and she and her girls came over before we left for the Rodeo!! I have MISSED HER!!!!!

on our way! 😉

Dinner while watching the Rodeo events – chopped BBQ sandwich.

**Little known fact about Me- I used to Rodeo when I was in high school with the Texas High School Rodeo Association. I did BreakAway Calf Roping and Goat Tying – and I have the pictures to prove it!   Those sure were fun times and being at the rodeo sure made me miss my rodeoing days. :) Maybe one of these days I will be able to get back into it. 😉

Jason Aldean! 😉

after the concert we made our way to the food pavilion and we ordered Fried Oreos and a Fried Oatmeal Cream Pie and a corn dog to share – and all I can say is it was AWESOME!!!!!!  but very rich! – I could only eat a few bites of each. It was fun to try it out!

I couldn’t resist! 😉

FRIDAY – 3/16

Slept in again. :)

Breakfast – oatmeal with cinnamon

Lunch – We met up with my friend Teri and her girls at La Brisa for lunch. I ordered my usual Chicken fajita lettuce wraps and ate wayyy too many chips and salsa while we chatted it up and got caught up.

Devyn went with them shopping and I took Gabe and my niece Cami home to rest and watch a movie.

I caught up on some of my shows and ended up having a snacking fest on EVERYTHING I had in my house!!

Skittles, chick-o-sticks, sun chips, bean dip………I don’t know what my problem was!

Later that night we met up with them again at Menchie’s – of course! 😉

my fav cake batter flavor is back!!! I also got chocolate silk with strawberries, mini chocolate chips and drizzle of hot fudge

Becca has long since passed Dev up in height!!

Tay & Jay wanted their picture taken with them too! 😉

SATURDAY – 3/17

*a little over 5 mile run with the gals that are in town 😉 It was nice to run and chat again!

After a speedy shower and getting dressed in record time – Lexy picked me up so we could make a WW meeting before the week was up.

post workout – ISO 100 whey protein shake – 2

It was really no surprise when I weighed in with a +2.4 gain.  I didn’t like it – but I weighed in and owned it and am moving on. I am fully aware of the choices I made all week to cause this and that’s ok. I know I am going to have to work harder this week because of the ‘break’ that I took this week. 😉

The meeting topic was about Negative Talk and was really good to be reminded on ways to turn it into Positive self talk.  (I will be posting the recap soon!)

Came home and got rest and read the latest book I downloaded onto my iBooks and get a power nap before having to get ready for a baby shower –

I had spaghetti squash, roasted veggies and alfredo on the way so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat cake 😉 – 2 {it worked}

Was SUPER tired after the shower and was ready to just vegg on the couch – I picked up Little Caesars pizza and Dr Pepper 10 and rented the Redbox movie Puss in Boots to watch as a family.

Dessert – a bowl of dutch chocolate Blue Bell ice cream with chocolate syrup 😉

SUNDAY – 3/18

Last day of Spring Break :(

My sweet hubby fixed me brunch that I ate on the way to church – eggs, roasted veggies and 2 pieces of Sara Lee toast

after church my kids shared some donut holes they got – that wasn’t satisfying enough so I ate my Zone bar I had cut into bite size pieces and had with me so I wouldn’t get home and rampage the kitchen!

I had to turn around and drive my niece to meet my mom half way so she could meet up with my sister when she got off work. It made for a long and tiring afternoon when I am used to taking a Sunday nap this time of day! 😉

As soon as we got home-  I dropped off Tay & Jay so they could ‘babysit’ Daddy {he was in bed all afternoon/evening with a migraine} and I took Dev and Gabe to the last Pioneer Trek Fireside. They had an amazing slideshow with awesome music that really gave us a glimpse of the AWESOME experience these youth had!!!

Goodbye Spring Break!!!  We will miss you.

Now the countdown for Summer begins! 😉

relax

Simply Saturday

picture via Pinterest

This was my motto and goal for today. We enjoyed a pretty quiet low key day at home just hanging out getting a few little things done.

I woke up to go running with the weather like this……….

as we say where I come from………..’It has come a gully washer!!!!!!’ 😉

was pretty bummed we didn’t get to run our 7 miles but went with the back up plan of meeting Lexy at the gym so we could get our cardio out of the way for the day.

1 hour on elliptical in Target Heart Rate Zone – +10 activity points

cardio done!! 😉

post workout protein green smoothie in my (redneck) Mason Jar blender 😉 – 2

my kids requested monkey bread again – Its becoming our Saturday morning ritual!  I ate two of them – 8

lunch – tortilla pizza with 2 tsp olive oil for my healthy checks – 8

snack – ZonePerfect sweet & salty bar- 5

random snack -4

I’ve been wanting to make stuffed peppers for a while now and I finally came across an easy and no brainer recipe on this new blog that Lexy told us about the other day called Dashing Dish! This girl is ADORABLE and has lots of good stuff on her blog! I was browsing around on her site the other day I came across her recipe Italian Stuffed Red Peppers – it is SOOOO good!! I also love that she includes the WW point values on her recipes!!   I tried her recipe today and followed her recipe with the exception that I added chopped mushrooms and onions to the meat mixture and I used different colored bell peppers because its what I had.

I ate mine with a serving of spaghetti squash for 5pts+ It was SOOOOO good and hearty!!!

and now I have leftovers to eat for lunch tomorrow after church and for several days this week!!!! YUM-O!!!!

this is pretty much of what our evening consisted of – at one point the little ones were watching a movie and were ALL piled on the LOVESEAT with ME. 😉 It was too cute so I had to get a picture.

Gabe realizing I was taking his picture……

then he decided to be funny……..hahaha…….

and then funnier and the girls finally realized what was going on.  too cute! 😉

Jay made some brownies in a jar we had gotten for Christmas so I had to have some – 7

finally had to break out the pickles to get the sweet and sugar taste out of my mouth cause I was wanting to just eat more!! -0pts+

I logged all my info from the day into my WW app to help me keep track for better success like we talked about in a WW meeting a couple weeks ago. 😉

Keep Calm and Move Along

New Recipes & News About My Burpees

This week has kind of been a blur…..I’ve been working on getting my head in the game with my organizational skills again. 😉 I’ve been having headaches, neck, shoulder, hip pain for a while and was finally able to get in to see my awesome chiropractor yesterday – I was pretty jacked up!!!  The things he fixes are always a combo of physical, emotional, and spiritual…….so after a few days of my body processing all the adjustments and some good rest – my pain and my head should be clearing out better. 😉

I tried a couple new recipes this week that I will try to post individually……

broke out an old recipe on my Fav’s list – baked tilapia with Old Bay Seasoning and Green Giant Healthy Colors veggies

tried a WW recipe I recently saw – Easy Fried Rice and I added chicken 7p+

I found this cool recipe Baked Egg in Tomato Cups on a blog and tried it – it was really good and something different!  2p+

Green Chili beef enchiladas and an oldie recipe of mine Mexican Cornbread

I’ve had a protein smoothie with a spoon Peanut Butter Finger style a couple nights this week for dinner – 2pts+ (I used water, frozen banana, ISO 100 protein and ice cubes to thicken it up)

I also came across this Stuffed Shells recipe that was super yummy!

In other news – After a longggg talk with my husband and lots of thinking and debating back and forth – I am regretfully having to withdraw myself from the 100 day Burpee Challenge due to a shoulder injury. I am disappointed that I won’t get to accomplish a goal I set out to do – but at this point I need to listen to my body or I will just be causing more pain and problems in the long run. On a positive note, I am grateful for the benefits I have noticed from doing the burpee challenge this far- I have seen my core strength improve and especially seen a significant improvement in my push up reps. So I can be happy about that. 😉

So now I’m just gonna……..

date night

Family Time & Date Night Saturday

*Got in an early 5 mile run with the gals – always the highlight of my Saturday mornings. 😉 +8

post run – Chocolate ISO 100 Protein and a bowl of oatmeal with banana – 6

Dropped by my friends baby shower to say Hi and drop off a gift before heading to IHop with my mom and kids for Brunch.

I had the Simple & Fit French Toast. I love that more and more restaurants are getting on board with having healthy options on their menus! I still got regular eggs (not a huge fan of egg substitute) but I only ate half the french toast – thanks to my son for grabbing the other half off my plate and eating it. 😉  One of the resources I use to find Dining Out points is  Dotti’s Food Score app and it said this dish was -13pts+ I counted it as -9 since I didn’t eat all the french toast.

Then my mom and I split a stuffed french toast – my FAV thing to eat at IHop!

According to Dotti’s app its 12.5 points.  7pts+

the whole gang in one booth 😉

afternoon snack of leftover birthday cookie while trying to organize my new calendar for the week/month –  4

we’re dog-sitting our friend Jim’s cairn terrier, Sienna, for the weekend and the kids have been having fun with her……..

She goes crazy over a laser light and its hilarious to watch her try to attack it!!

and of course the girls had to put bows and flowers in her hair! 😉

she’s not spoilt at all can ya tell?! 😉 Although her dad says she’s gonna need therapy from being at our house now!!

1/2 cup of my fav ice cream  Blue Bell – 5

The girls and I went to our friend Debbi’s farewell for her family since they are moving next Saturday. She is in our Saturday running group it has been so awesome to get to know her over the years through running and church. I am really going to miss her! :(

*Was so cool to hear the Houston Texans WON today!!!! I didn’t get to watch the game – my hubby was working and we don’t have TV but I googled the score several times and watched just a few minutes of the last quarter at the farewell party. So proud of our little Texas team!!! 😉

After I got back home my hubby and I went out on a date night to BJ’s. I realized it has been a month since we’ve gotten to do a date night by ourselves!

we shared the avocado egg rolls appetizer.

I had the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. SO yummy!!

Then we decided we would splurge and get dessert – which we RARELY ever get appetizer, dinner and dessert – but tonight we were in the mood.  We got the mini pazookie trio because we both like different cookies. He loves the peanut butter one.

I had the mini chocolate chunk one and a bite out of the other cookies. It was SOOOOO good!!!!  We had a bite out of the white chocolate macadamia nut one but couldn’t eat it all. Before dessert we were satisfied but after the dessert we were then so FULL.

our basketball star

another ‘WW’ week

I’m trying to get back in the habit of thinking of my weeks from Thursday – Wednesday like I did before hitting goal because that’s when my weekly points start over. After each weigh in, I found it was a good way to go back and look at my week to see how good {or bad} I did that week and figure out what I could change or what I was missing.

When I was in ‘weight loss’ mode before, I would eat my daily 29 points and also whatever Activity Points I earned first during the week. I would try not to touch my 49 weekly points allowance but was happy to know that they were there if I ‘needed’ them. For me, this is how I saw the best results and it was a happy medium for me. I’m finding that its hard to just ‘jump back into weight loss mode’…..maybe its because the holidays are here….and life is crazy…I don’t know….but I’m trying to change one little thing each week to get back to what I was doing before maintenance.  Some days I fail at it miserably….some days its easy to pick it up again.  So I’m just taking it one day at a time.

Since its Wednesday….the end of my WW week….and I’m behind-as usual…..here are my Fire Bites from Thursday to today:

THURSDAY 11/10

*my high schooler had a Late Arrival at school so I got to squeeze in an early 5 mile run with Lexy and Erin!!! It was awesome and felt awesome to be able to get an early run in during the week!!  +10

this one loves green smoothies!  -2

WW meeting and ‘unofficial’ weigh in –  5

running errands – 2

late lunch – flat out bread pizza with 2tsp EVOO – 9

snack – more chocolate – 6

dinner – beef enchiladas – 4

refreshments at a meeting – they had crepes and muffins and all kinds of stuff. I decided on just a brownie & fruit – 6

FRIDAY 11/11/11

Happy Veteran’s Day!!!!

at the request of my oldest – I had to make her Daddy cinnamon rolls for breakfast this morning for a Veteran’s Day treat. Here he is-  my HERO! I am so grateful for brave men and women-  like my husband – who have served and continue to serve this great nation we live in!

and yes – I had a cinnamon roll.  might have even been two….?!?!

WW oatmeal cookies – honestly lost count :(

lunch – flat out bread pizza with 2tsp EVOO- 9

more cookies.

Had to work in the concession stand at school for a JV Basketball tournament that was going on. I don’t usually care for hot dogs, or haven’t had nachos in I can’t tell you how long……..but after 2 hours of working in there amongst hot dogs, frito pie, nachos with chili and cheese and jalepenos and it being you-know-what-week……I was CRAVING it by the time I left and I texted Courtney and told him to get the hot dogs and Zummo’s outta the freezer!! haha

*I realized that no matter how strong you are or you get – that we are always gonna have foods that trigger us from a memory or create a craving. Sometimes we can fight them off and sometimes we have to give in to them.  Tonight I gave in.

dinner – Zummo sausage on slice of bread with chili, cheese and onions. YUM-O. until I got done. Then I felt sick. 😛  I should have just eaten the Zummo with the bread and nixed the chili. I won’t be wanting another one of these chili dawgs for another long while.  -10?

SATURDAY 11/12

*5 mile run with the group +10

post run – green protein smoothie – 2

made some oatmeal with bananas as I was running out the door to D’s BB game cause I knew I needed something that would last longer than that smoothie knowing I was gonna be in and out all day. -4

Dev played awesome in her BB tourney!!!!  They won their first game and lost the 2nd game by 1 point!

lunch in between games – had canned breadsticks {from a coupon} and saw this idea on the back of the mini pepperoni bag. It was really good especially dipped in my 2tsp EVOO for my daily oils.  Just wasn’t a satisfying enough meal to stay with me as long as I would have like it too. I should have eaten a salad with it and that would have solved the problem. -7

snack -cored and then sliced a HUGE apple and put cinnamon in between each layer -0

snack – 2

*got to take a MUCH needed nap!

dinner – Courtney wanted deer meat for dinner so we had venison backstrap, rice & gravy and cornbread. What I like to call good ole’ southern comfort food. snacked on meat as it came out from cooking and then had a small portion for dinner when we sat down to eat together.

my husband also had a ‘hankerin’ for chocolate cake – so I made a cake but we waited and had a slice when we got back from a church conference meeting with some ice cold milk.

SUNDAY 11/13

breakfast before church – oatmeal with bananas -4

right after church – another slice of chocolate cake :/

lunch – Jay made waffles (my little cooker!) – so had 1/2 waffle and turkey link sausage

*tried to take a nap before the evening meetings we had to attend

attended a Farewell Open House for some friends of ours that are moving- got to visit with some of the awesome Sisters from church

half a slice of poundcake and a couple bits of this chex mis

2 bites of chips and dip

these were awesome and come to find out you can find them at Sam’s Club!! Tasted like a chicken brushetta.

then we had another meeting to go to this time for Dev. had 1 mini cupcake, fruit and veggies and some punch. I was seriously craving veggies at this point in the day!!

need to get to the store!!!  had 1/2 bagel thin with pb just to have something substantial  in my belly.

Not a very well planned out day. That was my first problem. Should’ve had dinner in the crockpot and would have avoided all this snacking! But given the situation – I don’t’ feel like I went crazy with the portions either. Tried to just take a couple bites of the things I wanted too and then move on.

MONDAY 11/14

*Boot Camp kicked my boo-tay today!!!  +10

{welcome to shark week. }

post workout – protein smoothie – 2

lunch – protein pancake with bananas and I finally found my FAV cinnamon cool whip again!!! -6

snack – 5

dinner – found this recipe idea on Pinterest and have wanted to try it for a while. I finally had avocados. With my hubby gone for the week, grill cheeses is one of the things on the menu the kids and I have while he’s gone. This is what I like to call a gourmet grill cheese with colby jack, turkey, avocado and pesto. YUM!  It was pretty ‘rich’ tasting with the avocado. -12

chocolate – 4

TUESDAY 11/15

pre-workout while taking Bubba to school – 2

30 minutes on the elliptical

30 minutes walking inclines/5 min cool down

*major throbbing headache going to bed :(

WEDNESDAY 11/16

Today was my one-day-a-month-pajama-day.

breakfast – 2 tylenol and an excendrin to get the day started. woke up with the headache still. not a good sign. :(

brunch – oatmeal with banana and cinnamon- 4

watched my friend that’s moving 3 sweet little kiddos today so she could go to her husbands farewell work lunch. the kids  all played sooo good together while I got a lot of my kitchen chores done that I’ve been putting off lately; cleaning out the fridge and freezer – wiping it down, getting the dishes caught up, prepared a meal to deliver to a sweet family tonight,  huge pile of mail to be filed & sales papers, made a meal list/menu, got laundry started, made out a to-do list for the next several days to TRY and organize myself………got lots of ‘little’ things done…….

with that said – I realized later this afternoon  when I looked at my dietSNAPS app to see when the last time I ate was……I realized that I had been snacking on WW oatmeal cookie dough alllllll day. a bite here. a bite there. I intentions  to bake them and never got around to it. I never had a real appetite today at all.  Usually mid afternoon my stomach and brain would be telling me  I needed some real food – so kind of a weird day and probably has everything to do with this headache and ‘shark week’- the reasons today was a pajama day.

dinner – beef veggie soup and a crescent roll – 8

*workout of today is catching up on my Burpees. I need to figure out a better system of when to do them because last time I did them was day 9 and we are on day 16!!!!!!!  So far I’ve done 9, 10 and am going to do 11 before I head to bed. Will finish catching up on days 12-17 tomorrow morning.

Weigh in day tomorrow. Its not gonna be pretty.  Between PMS last week, ‘shark week’ this week, and all the crazy food and lack of water I’ve been drinking I don’t expect anything……..I’m just gonna own it, forgive myself,  and start over fresh tomorrow.

But thankfully tomorrow is a NEW DAY and a NEW WEEK!

Things I KNOW I need to work on this week is to PLAN meals…..especially dinner. I plan on referring back to my list of trusted foods to throw some variety and stability back in my life-  ESPECIALLY this week of Thanksgiving we have ahead.

I’m looking forward to getting motivation from Karen tomorrow at WW’s.  😉
