I choose my featured image picture because it portrays perfectly my current state of being…plus Torry (Lexy’s husband) thought it was really scary 😉 Then they all tried to copy my face.
Week 2 and 3 as a mother of 2. There was lots of exhaustion, several naps, one night of my awesome hubby letting me sleep through the night in the upstairs bedroom, 2 walks up the hill (1 that included Keller in body armor and lots of lunges and squats), 1 run on the treadmill (1 day following regretting this run), 1 workout with Keller’s TRX bands, one date night, Easter Sunday, Keller starting a training and being gone all day every day, field trips to the Hill Aerospace museum and the Natural History museum, and the beginning of Crystal Light Energy helping me make it through the day.
Weight Loss and Exercise:
I’m making Friday my weigh in days until I can get to my meetings. There are Thursday night meetings up here in Park City that I need to start attending, but it hasn’t worked out with schedules yet. My total weight gain for my pregnancy was 28 pounds, according to my first weigh-in at my Dr’s office, 33 pounds if you count from my last WW weigh in. So on 3/30 I was down 12.5 pounds, on 4/6 I was down another 8.2, and today I was down another 3.5 for a total loss of 24.2lbs. I have been semi counting points. I really have not been that hungry, so I’m pretty sure I’m staying within my daily allotted. I’m trying to ease back into my workouts because I do feel better on the days that I get to workout, but most days I’m so tired the thought of exuding enough energy to put my tennis shoes on is overwhelming! I’m one of those people that DO NOT function well without sleep. So getting back to a normal daily routine is going to take a little bit, but I’m taking it one day at a time.
The best part of my week was doing this walk with Keller. We walked up the hill and every 5 minutes stopped and did 20 walking lunges. At the top I did 3 sets of 10 push-ups and on the way down we did 20 squats every 5 minutes. I was definitely sore the next day!
This was my “It Begins” face.
I didn’t take a picture of my…”oh crap that really hurt” face.
Food and Points:
I’m still using my dietSNAPS app and taking pictures of everything I eat. I haven’t gone back to entering my food in the WW app yet. And as for posting everything I eat, I don’t think anyone wants to look at a post with 2 weeks worth of food pics so for now I will take it one day at a time. I definitely feel like I’m not as hungry and I’m trying to take advantage of that feeling cause I’m sure it won’t last long. It’s like I’m too tired to care about eating. I’m trying to stay away from crap, most of my meals are the usual protein pancakes, green greek smoothies, greek yogurts, mint cookie Balance Bars, fruit, and just trying to stick with veggies and protein for dinner with the occasional indulgences.
Oh and of course, the Coke Zero’s…Mommy’s milk and Cruz’s milk!
Last Saturday night we took family pictures in a beautiful orchard in Kaysville. It was a little chilly, but the boys were troopers and I can’t wait to see how the pictures turned out! We stopped at In-N-Out for dinner on the way home. We were all so hungry and I enjoyed every bite of my hamburger and shared some of Cole’s fries and chocolate shake while he covered his face with stickers. Not sure why he loves to put stickers there. Good thing he doesn’t have a hairy face!
We had a great Easter. Cole loved dyeing eggs in Kool aid. Thank you Pinterest!
Easter Sunday was probably my best day. I think it was because I had finally caught up on a little sleep. We took pics on the porch after church, poor Cruz just looks like he’s squished!
And then enjoyed the beautiful weather with a picnic lunch outside.
This week the best days were when we went on field trips with our cousins. It usually ends up taking forever, but I love being able to get out of the house. I’m trying to get my vitamin D and endorphins everyday, cause otherwise I end up feeling totally crappy and even more tired.
This was Monday at the Hill Aerospace Museum.
And this was Thursday at the Utah Natural History Museum.
All in all I’m doing my best and that’s all I can do. I’m trying not to stress about things I can’t control (which is super hard for me). We have a lot going on in our lives right now and we seem to be in a constant state of chaos and change. I hope one day I can feel like I have a normal life, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen anytime soon. And I just have to say to all the moms out there especially to ones with multiple children close in age or to those who’s husbands are gone all the time or those who don’t live by family…so pretty much any mom out there…you are amazing! Being a mom is hard work and any one who says different should be punched in the face :). So here’s my salute to mom’s everywhere!
