This Means War

Friday was full of random obligations that seem to pop up out of nowhere… I was going through my normal routine but had to deal with several “out of the ordinary” items along the way. I was able to get everything taken care of and squeeze in an hour at the gym too… yay!

Then last night, I was sitting over at Carman’s house on the couch talking about some improvements we want to make to our blog. At 6:17 pm I get a text from Torry saying that he’s at Beltway 8 and 45S and is on his way to pick me up for a movie. Wha??? I was not ready in the least… I asked if I could bring a friend?? He agreed and 5 minutes later Carman and I were getting the kids situated, throwing our hair up, and promising each other we were wearing our comfy clothes to the theater! I ran home to change clothes and had a fight with my garage door that refused to close. Torry saved the day by closing it manually and somehow fixing the sensors and getting it to work again. At the same time, my parents texted us to see if we wanted to meet them for a movie at a different theater. I told them to keep driving south and we could all meet up together. So… in true miracle fashion, we all arrived alive and with minutes to spare for the 7:15pm showing of THIS MEANS WAR! I thought it was a great chic flick with enough guy stuff in there to keep them entertained. :) All the craziness of getting there was worth it. Both of the guys in the movie were so cute and Reese is my hero! She is adorable.

About Lexy

40 years old, "stay at home mom" to 2 boys (ages 16 and 14), wife to a chiropractic kinesiologist! I love blogging and learning new ideas. I follow the Weight Watchers Points Plus program and enjoy working out. I have run 2 full 26.2 mile marathons and 3 half marathons... and many 10k and 5k's. I love taking BodyPump classes and lifting weights. Working out has always been fun for me, but I struggle with eating healthy. Blogging has introduced me to a world of healthy eaters... When I first started WW... I just wanted someone to tell me what to eat! I didn't like cooking and I am not the kind of person that can just throw things together. There are tons of ideas out there and I love finding new and fun ones that I feel like I am capable of making myself!

Did I read this right- “Torry saved the day by closing it manually and somehow fixing the sensors and getting it to work again.” Next thing he’s going to be out there with a saw cutting down limbs from a flood.

I’m still a little shocked …. not sure I believe it… but the good thing is… THE GARAGE DOOR CLOSED! Can you imagine if I would have had to leave it open while I was gone?
He will never use a saw!
    HAHAHAHA!!!
