Traveling All Day, Arrived In Estes Park!

Wow, after getting in really late to Amarillo and being extra crispy from the tanning bed… it was REALLY hard to get up early! But Carman and Courtney were down in the gym ready to do some burpees, so I drug myself out of bed and went down for the torture! I warmed up on the elliptical for 10 minutes and then finished the 51 burpees. Glad to have that over, I went to see what I could find for breakfast at the hotel.

Then we started our 12 hour drive to Estes Park! The roads we were planning to take were blocked off, so we detoured on I-40 and that added some extra time to the adventure!

Had a 5 minute potty break at McDonald’s and took the time to post my mom’s weekly update!

I am so excited that Beth and Adrian have moved back to the states! We were able to meet up with them for a few minutes to say Hi!! They are both from Colorado and are in town visiting their families for Christmas! It was soooo good to see them! ¬†We are planning to meet up with them later in the week for lunch or dinner…

Then things started to get tense….. This was Denver!

We stopped for dinner before the final 2 hour part of the trip….

I was so stressed out on the icy roads leading up to Estes Park. We passed a lady that had slid off the road into the ditch… (she did have help) We drove very slow and tried to keep a steady pace and not make any crazy movements. This is how things looked as we pulled into town. So pretty!!!

Glad to finally be here!!! :)
