#1 ME First

I love it when I go to a WW meeting and it ends up being EXACTLY what I need to hear and it confirms thoughts and feelings I had been having for a few days. 
Today’s topic was:
#1–ME FIRST
‘It is win-win when you take care of yourself.’
This question was asked: 
What are the challenges making time for you??
I don’t know about you but that opens up a CAN for me…….
I constantly struggle with guilt and frustrations of making time for ME every.single.day. 
Especially when it comes to working out. I have 4 kids, a military husband, busy church responsiblities….you name it and I’m probably busy with it. 
 I’ve been thinking the past couple of days about how I’m sure that my weight loss would pick up (and I’d feel even better!) if I would just work out. The best time for me to work out is early morning by 6:30am before my kids are up to get ready for school.  I am NOT a morning person so that explains A LOT why I struggle so much. I hate having to get up so stinking early to do it but my alternative is to make time for it in my busy day of other responsiblities and drag my 3 year old to the gym with me……neither are fun or easy in my book. I have been in the habit of getting up early to work out before and it felt great once I got used to it……its just boosting myself back into that routine that is always the hardest part. I think today’s meeting helped remind me that its extremely important that I do it for myself  (no matter what time of the day it is). I know I can and will be soooo much happier. 
Our awesome leader Karen, had some great strategies. 
-Realize your needs are legitimate & important.
-Consciously set aside time for actions that support your weight loss. 
-Make specific plans to do things you enjoy.
-Learn to say NO! 
-Delegate.
Great reminders for us all to ponder and think about!!

Wow. So true on every level. 
So let’s treat ourselves better and give our body and minds the time we deserve every day! 
(even if its just 30 mins!)

I love circuit training, weight training, and running sprints. My goal is to inspire others to take their health seriously, and to show how small changes can lead to big results.
