Welcome To November

Seems like the healthy blogging world is buzzing with excitement for the first of November!  I read several motivational posts today… Check out Roni, Katy, and Lauren to name a few!  Between now and the end of the year, we are all up against lots of temptations and the desire to just start up again with our healthy routines after the New Year.  I am really trying to convince myself to just keep going along as I’ve been doing the last few months, but it is hard!!!

Today while I was running an errand for my husband, I had to snap a picture of Houston!  It’s been over a year since we moved back and I am so happy that we did!!  I absolutely love it here, especially on days like today!  I wish the weather could stay like this forever!

One of my best friends Ciro and I attended a MAC make-up party tonight…. it was fun!  He cracks me up and always gives me a hard time…. I even got him to walk into a Chick-fil-a for the first time…. but he couldn’t handle it and we ended up taking our salads over to my mom’s!

Today’s Fire Bites!

Protein Pancake -5

Walked at a level 12 for an hour at the gym  +4 ….  I ran into my cousin while I was there and found out that is the gym she goes to all the time! Pretty cool, so maybe we can take classes together sometime!?!?

Spinach Smoothie -0

 

 

Zone Bar sent me a free sample…. -5   I really like these!  They contacted me a while back, but I just now received it…. definitely worth the wait… just the right amount of sweet and salty! I usually get the Chocolate Caramel bars, but this made me want to explore some other flavors.

So much for my 3-A-Day Candy plan!  I failed on day 1!  I guess there is always tomorrow!!  😉

    What you need to do is move to a (basically) 3rd-world country that doesn’t celebrate Halloween- and the candy is expensive and so it sits on the shelf for over a year (I know this because last year’s Christmas candy- full price- was still on the shelf and I watched them move it to the front of the store with the new shipment for this year)- and then when you buy some chocolate for your own little Halloween- it’s white and disintigrates right in your hand. Candy problem- solved!

      Hahahaha!!! Oh St. Kitts!!! You’ll be happy (or sad) to know that I’m taking my entire bag of candy to donate to the Bishop’s office when I pick the boys up from scouts…. Hahaha! I CAN NOT HAVE IT AROUND ME!!!! You know that…..
